Sometimes, no matter how much you try to keep up with both life and death that surround you, in such a work field, there will come a day when your whole being will be crumbling and your whole life will change in an instant.
Simon has tasted, throughout his military dedicated portion of life, as much blood as air itself. He’s been through the worst of all and each time he got out more scarred than the last time, yet stronger and less human at the same time.
The problem with living in this kind of painful darkness for so long is that when something happens and it’s greater than every single thing you’ve witnessed or that has happened to you in the past, it might destroy you for good.
There’s that sensation of being always on the edge of falling into the void without a parachute nor a way to come back either sane or at least intact body and soul wise.

Summary
Soap’s fingers can now be clearly seen under the dim light. They are slowly tracing Soap’s hole, teasing it then... then they retreat, but not for too long as two of them are suddenly swallowed by what can only be another hole. Ghost’s knees feel wobbly out of a sudden and he unconsciously leans onto the wall for a few seconds, to regain his balance. He swallows hard, biting his lower lip under the mask and closing his eyes for a bit. The sound of Soap fingering his pussy gets louder and louder and Ghost takes another short look at the sight then he decides it’s enough. Feeling his body trembling and heavy, Ghost closes the door as silently as he can, with only a small click sound escaping.

Objectively, this isn’t even that weird. Robby offered to drive him and he said yes. It made sense, Dennis was invited on behalf of the emergency room along with Robby, Mel, Mohan and Abbot. Well, less invited and more forced. It was a picking names out of a hat situation for residents to go along. Dennis remembers Robby clapping a hand down onto his shoulder with a ‘Congratulations!’, slight sarcasm in his tone. Dennis mentioned his only complaint was not knowing how to get there, Robby mentioned he was driving on his own and would love a companion.

Robby looks amused. “Are you going to protect me from bears?”
“If I have to,” Jack says, which is better than the more inappropriate, if equally true, I would take a bullet for you. “So, is that a yes?”
Robby’s dark eyes dart, briefly, to the floor, then back up to meet Jack's gaze. “Do you really want me there?”
Or: Twelve hours after Robby leaves on his sabbatical, Jack’s phone buzzes with an incoming call. Jack spends the next few weeks bullying Robby into staying in his guest room, then staying in his tent, and then just staying, period.
