From the "Resolutions" Memory Alpha page: "Kenneth Biller had some involvement in this episode's plot, although he wanted the installment to have more of a high-concept science fiction story than it ultimately did. "I had a hand in 'Resolutions' in the sense that I wanted to do a story about Janeway and Chakotay stranded on a planet," he explained, "but I wanted to do a more sci-fi twist on it where they get stranded and Voyager literally left through a time eddy to get home. When they come back Chakotay and Janeway have aged 40 years and have a whole family. Jeri [Taylor] felt it was too reminiscent of [Star Trek: The Next Generation episode] 'Inner Light'. That was kind of the twist I wanted to do on it." (Cinefantastique, Vol. 28, No. 4/5, p. 106)"

CW: childbirth, miscarriage, child injury, calorie restriction, chronic illness, major character death. That said, this is incredibly fluffy, but take care of yourselves. Part of the fun of this idea was figuring out how they would've reset it.

Allied troops are gathering to make a final push to support occupied France in 1945. Captain Chakotay of the 5th armored infantry has been sent to collect intel on the Nazi in Sainte-Claire. His cover: to pose as the husband of Kathryn Janeway, a bar owner and leader of the local resistance.

She doesn’t know what she looked like as a Borg, but her stomach still turns at the thought that Chakotay might have seen her like that when they brought her to sickbay. Hair gone, skin blanched an inhuman gray, flesh still raw and festering where it touched metal. It’s not vanity, exactly; it’s less about appearance than having her assimilated, invaded body on display.

Summary
Tension, tension, and more tension - what to do? I'm trying something different with the dialogue - just deal with it. :) This is an AU kind of fic, but not dramatically so. There are "between the scenes" moments that I thought would be nice to capture. If you haven't seen the "Hunters" deleted/extra/promo scene, then you're missing out, but won't be lost in this story. Those that have seen it, will enjoy (I hope). This fic is choppy but, it's short and fluffy.
