Summary
He would make a better world. They had no one else but each other even if his creator was prone to slipping away to the mortal realm. He would create a world so beautiful that his lord would never want to run off to the humans. He would be together as they were meant to be. Come what may. That was his purpose. A dream come true.
Moments from this idea I have in my head about what it would be like if the roles were reversed, but maybe not how you'd think. What if this is all just a prequel to the story that we already know?

Summary
"It's a big thing," Sciel says, conversationally. "Having one. It changes the shape of everything. Pierre, Lune, and I—we talked about it for a long time before. It still managed to surprise us, how much." She glances at him. "Do you ever think about it?"
The question lands lightly. That is the thing about Sciel—she puts things down rather than pressing them in. Verso is aware, not for the first time, that this is probably what makes her so effective at interrogations like these.
"I think Gustave has found his way to something that works," he says, which is not an answer to the question she asked, and they both know it. "He's not—wanting for anything. He's got more than enough people in his life who need him."
Sciel makes a small sound. Not disagreement, exactly.
"What," Verso says.
"Nothing." A pause. "I'm just—thinking about what 'enough' means,” she looks at him sideways, "and I think you're avoiding the question."In which two people who had stopped expecting things discover, somewhat belatedly, that they want the same one.

Summary
Ryland Grace hasn't slept soundlessly in weeks at this point- constantly haunted by the subconscious starvation of human contact. Which would, in theory, be easy enough to take care of- Considering he's no longer the only human residing on Erid. Except... the guy's a tool and hates Ryland's guts in kind.
The question remains... how desperate will either of them get before they break under the will of human instinct?
And why can't Ryland shake this one particular dream free from his daily thought?Bookmarked by Alpha0shadow

Or,
Simon knows that Ryland Grace is an angel, he just can’t figure out how he got to heaven. He’s not complaining, though it took becoming a devil himself to finally behold the divine.
