Hiccup and his family have just moved to South Yorkshire, England from their very rural town/ village of berk in Norway for Valka new Job as veterinarian and for most of Hiccups life it has been very shelter and not very knowledgeable of the outside world of his village and moving to a new country where he doesn't know the language or the culture of this new place and all the while discovering his sexual orientation at the same time. But with a slightly older gentleman his next-door neighbor helps not only him settle in but opens his door to new possibilities, but both are connected in an unusual way by a singular event that changed both of their lives.

Seeing Viggo barely holding himself up right with several arrows sticking out of his back as the man forced a piece of Maces and Talons into his hand, Hiccup couldn't seem to swallow it. The man wanted to sacrifice himself for Hiccup and Toothless — the man who manipulated, ambushed, and ultimately tried to kill them. Served him right to die.

Summary
The Gods unsatisfied with how things ended for Toothless and Hiccup decide to send them back with all of their memories. Hiccup who'd become jaded from the loss of his best friend, doesn't know what to make of being returned to the past. He does know that he won't make the same mistakes from before. Can someone get through to the jaded Hiccup as he hides on an island far from other humans? Hiccup and Toothless wake up the day after he cut Toothless free of the bola that injured Toothless's tail.
They runaway from Berk and set up Dragon's Edge as a Dragon Sanctuary. With his memories of the past he is able to better prepare for the fight against the Red Death and rescue dragons. Little does he know that he's drawn the attention of someone from his past earlier.
