Back then, Katsuki hadn’t realized that soulmarks matched but it was a mood point, anyway. Deku’s quirk never came and neither did his soulmark and Katsuki refused to recall those memories.
Katsuki’s soulmark belonged to a badass person, someone who could keep up with Katsuki, it had to. Anything else would be a betrayal.
(A betrayal that hurt, that made Katsuki lash out at the sheer audacity Deku possessed to still be worried about Katsuki and deem him weaker.)

Summary
At age eight Lyra finds out that her whole life has been a lie. Her Uncle was never her uncle, and suddenly she's whisked away to live with him and a woman she barely even knows. Things are so very different to Oxford, suddenly she has to learn and conform to the ideal of a young noble lady. Her mother is overprotective and possessive. Her father is just as standoffish and cold as he was as her uncle. So slowly she starts to change under two people who raise her so differently to how it was at Jordan college.
But the wheels of fate are still turning. One small thing does not change everything and two people will never lose their ambitions.

Asriel’s eyes widened, anger spreading across his face like thick, black petroleum polluting a lake. “What?” he said, leaning forward and banging his fist against the dark mahogany of the desk. “I ordered you to keep that woman away from Lyra. I expressly forbade it. How dare you let her come here?”
“She was very upset, Asriel,” the Master said, his expression pained.
“Oh, I’m sure she was,” he snapped. Stelmaria had stood at the news: now her tail was erect, her ears pricked up, her eyes bright and wild and sparkling.
(When Lyra is six years old, Marisa sneaks a visit with her at Jordan. Asriel catches her in the act.)

“I can’t believe this aired on TV,” Izuku mumbles into his hands, cheeks still bright red as he peers over his fingers. “Kacchan, this is – oh my god – Kacchan. They’re going to be pulling clips from this for the rest of our lives.”
“Noooo.” Mina tips forward to ruffle her manicured hands through both Katsuki’s and Izuku’s hair. “It’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! The most innocent dirt they could ever dig up. Look at those tiny babies!”
Katsuki bats her away. “We’re not tiny, fuck off.”
“Ah! They’ve spotted a frog!” the narrator’s voice chimes from the TV. “The yakitori they were supposed to pick up for dinner has completely left their heads.”
Izuku snorts at that, hands lowering slightly. A reluctant sort of grin threatens at Katsuki’s mouth.
In which Class 3-A discovers two of their own were once featured on an episode of Old Enough! and Katsuki realizes he can't remember the last time he saw his mom look so carefree.

“Can’t talk,” Kacchan grunts as Izuku gapes at him, voice so low and raspy that it’s almost inaudible. There’s something strange about it – like he’s trying to purposefully speak from deep in his throat. “Quirk incident, I’m fine, gonna take a nap.”
Every word is clipped, pushed out in a rush. His shoulders bunch up around his ears as he ducks his head and tries to scoot past Izuku, and there’s something just so off about his…everything. It could be because of his bowed head, but it almost seems like he’s not even standing as tall as he usually does.
All that aside, though – Quirk incident?!
Or: Kacchan gets turned into a girl, which is great news for Izuku since he desperately needs some help in the Complete Lack of Sexual Experience Department and is obviously completely and totally straight. Obviously. Obviously! ...Right?
