The Ladybug and Black Cat miraculous' were meant for the two holders to work together as a team. They were supposed to be a yin and yang tale, a completion of the other. But they weren't.
Her other half was on the other side, trying to take her down.
Also, he would not stop cockblocking her from a certain blonde, old friend.

What I kind of wish happened? I haven’t written fan fiction in years so not sure how good the writing will be. These plot bunnies just wouldn’t leave me alone though. This is purely wish fulfillment for me. ^.^;
Eight year old Katerina regains her past life memories, vaguely, and avoids getting engaged.
Instead of worrying about meeting her doom, she instead tries to find Prince Gerald a different fiancée so he’ll stop trying to trap her in holy matrimony.
