Summary
Stranded in a runabout above a pre-warp planet and three days out from rescue, Garak and Julian find themselves with a lot of unexpected free time on their hands.
In the meanwhile, they have alcohol, a replicator, and luckily each other. Julian realizes he can’t fight the inevitable any longer. He takes this opportunity to finally tell Garak exactly how he feels, but worries about the consequences of his honesty.
Part of an on going series of Garashir stand-alone, one off short stories. Can be read together or separately.

“Please,” Natasha said with a wave of her hand. “We’re SHIELD. We can create anything out of thin air.” She focused on something behind Phil, and one corner of her mouth quirked up. “And I think for this, we won’t have to. Clint!”

At least one or two singular cells in New York, with the girl I was seeing just before we lost everything. When we came here, I tried to call her. She was the only person I called, actually. And she never answered the phone to tell me she was-.” He isn’t totally sure what’s most appropriate way to end that sentence.
“Pregnant with your baby?” Patrick finishes, with absolutely no judgement in his voice.
“Yeah,” David says, voice strained. “That.”

“Your one and only birthday gift? You want nothing else than to sleep with your outdoors-averse husband in a tent overnight? Nothing else at all?”
“That is correct.”
David takes a moment, and for a very brief second hates how much and how apparently unconditionally he loves Patrick.
“Please send me the link, I will think about it.” He holds a finger up to Patrick’s delighted face. “I will think about it.”
“That’s all I ask.”*****
David does not do the outdoors. Until he does.

This is a totally dopey sentimental piece that might be out of character, but I needed a feel-good story where there wasn’t anything earth shattering going on. I also have been struggling with writer's block, and I just needed to get something finished and off my plate — especially something a bit shorter that wouldn’t spiral into a novel!
