Silver flicked his gaze down to the other figure and froze, his eyes widening.
It was Sonic.
But he looked…wrong.
His fur was more messy and muted, and he looked younger. Way younger.
He sat up abruptly, now basically ignoring every part of his body that screamed for him to lay back down. His eyes blurred again, and his migraine spiked, but he didn’t care. He practically forced his eyes to focus on the hedgehog in front of him.
This wasn’t the Sonic he knew.————

Summary
Instead of the canon events of Sonic Adventure 2, Rouge and Eggman open the stasis unit on Prison Island to find... a baby, because Gerald Robotnik hadn't figured out how to make his Ultimate Lifeform in an older stage of life. Eggman wants nothing to do with raising a child, but Rouge knows of someone who she can trust to keep little Shadow safe and sound: the hero Sonic the Hedgehog.
Now, of course, Sonic's left with a terrifyingly powerful baby, and he needs to take a very fast crash course in parenting. Thankfully, he's not alone in this, because he isn't sure what he would have done without the support of his friends, especially given this baby is already starting to develop Chaos powers.
