“Kyahaha!” Kuramochi bends over in his chair, falling into hysterical laughter until he’s clutching at his sides. “Wait, wait, wait… are you fucking seriou—”
“Kuramochi,” Coach Kataoka warns, voice sharp to remind Kuramochi to behave properly.
“Sorry, sorry,” he chuckles, waving his hand in front of him once his laughter dies down. His shoulders are still shaking as he wipes at the tears in the corners of his eyes, looking at Miyuki with animated eyes and a smug smile. Miyuki pales because if Kuramochi’s cackling like an idiot then that means he’s also put the puzzle pieces together. “So you’re telling me that lover boy over here went into rut because of Sawamura?”
Miyuki's rut comes early and Sawamura's determined to make it his problem.

Summary
“I brought you flowers,” Miyuki says suddenly, steeling himself with a familiar game they play. His back is straighter, but Eijun can still detect his underlying nerves.
Eijun recalls the ones he had seen by the front door and smiles. “What do they mean?” he asks, aware that Miyuki is fishing for an opening to say something.
Miyuki takes a step toward him. “I miss you.”
The Legend of Sawamura Eijun was supposed to be one for the ages but instead of ending with a bang, it ends with a whimper.

Eijun lives a comfy and cozy lifestyle under the care of his loving owners. They give him everything he could ever want and fold under the power of his puppy eyes. In return, the unspayed omega has just one rule he has to follow: stay clear of the neighborhood strays.

There are times Kazuya all too easily gets swept up in Sawamura’s desires, going along with whatever he wants and if he stopped at all to really think about what was going on, he’d be able to see that he was, for lack of a better word, whipped. But he doesn’t stop and doesn’t dare dredge up any feelings, let alone his own. Friends with benefits is a simple concept, one doesn’t need to be a genius to understand that.
So why, sitting next to Sawamura on his couch and a baseball game playing on the TV before them, does he have a gut-clenching mixture of apprehension and yearning swirling within him?
Miyuki Kazuya has been struggling with his writing while Sawamura Eijun has just been struggling. A chance event and a seemingly insignificant choice have Kazuya’s life turning into the very same kind of cliche that he writes about. The only catch is that this is real life and who’s to say he’ll get to write the kind of ending he wants?
