Of course he did. The Consent of the Crown was a test taken by witches as young as seven. Would-be apprentices only being given one chance wasn’t a measure of strictness. It was a way of pretending something was more important than it really was, like handing a child a piece of rock sugar and asking them to keep the diamond safe. The child got a feeling of accomplishment, and the adult got time to spend drawing real magic.

You have a new memory, stardust! Loop coos. It's called Memory of Forget-Me-Nots! A bit on the nose, isn't it? I thought it would be a helpful one for your blindingly frustrating memory issues, but!~ Loop drones on and on, as Siffrin stares blankly down at the flower.
You won't have to ask the Researcher or the Flower Growing One about flowers ever again! With this memory in mind, you'll understand the language of flowers! They laugh, gleeful. I can't imagine how it will be useful now, though! Oh well! I don't choose them, I just tell you what you get! Good luck stardust!

Being in a Timeloop is hard enough with the stress of a love confession dangling in front of you. But the Universe clearly doesn't care since Siffrin has a new problem: a rare disease that causes you to grow flowers in your lungs due to unrequited love.

Siffrin has craved blood for as long as they can remember. After so many years of wandering, he's come to Vaugarde in hope of finding answers, just as the King's Curse begins freezing the country in time. He's quickly losing hope, but when they come across a small group determined to save Vaugarde from the King, Siffrin decides to join them. They can't get the answers they want if the country gets frozen in time, after all. They'd never traveled with other people before. Siffrin doesn't expect to grow attached to any of them, but as time goes on, the thought of leaving them hurts more and more. Worse yet, they refuse to even entertain the thought of one of them discovering what he is and what he's done. They just know that if they find out, they'll hate them.
