Vox was an innovator, a CEO and Overlord. Hundreds of souls belong to him, money was no question and he was living his best undead life. Decades of being on top, no one dare threaten Vox's control of the head of Hell's media and technology. Anyone had to be an idiot to challenge him.
But as with everything, time can sneak up and soon Vox find himself out of loop of what’s draws the attention of younger demons. Some club DJ hack decided to step up and take Vox’s place.

Vox is well known in Cannibal Town. Since his fall he’s been selling pieces of himself for Rosie’s protection. He’s an acquired taste but his regulars are quite protective. Valentino is known as a bit of a troublemaker around town and so when Vox gets an order he chooses not to fill it. The same evening he attends a cabaret show with Alastor and meets the most gorgeous moth sinner on stage, with a few drinks and cajoling from Alastor, Vox sneaks backstage. It starts with one bite and leads to much because neither of them can resist.

Summary
The wound on Alastor’s chest becomes badly infected and he’s unable to manage the pain even with drugs and alcohol. It gets to the point of him passing out in one of the hotel’s public spaces, unable to recover before he’s discovered by Charlie. Charlie drags Lucifer to Alastor’s side and tearfully begs Lucifer to save him. She’s having flashbacks to Pentious’s death and is terrified Lucifer might refuse out of spite towards Alastor and she just can’t lose another friend, she can’t!
Lucifer was never going to refuse, but the desperation and fear in his little girl’s voice breaks his heart all the same. Sure, he has his problems with the guy, but he wasn’t going to just leave Alastor for double dead. Who would he argue with over his morning coffee then? He overcompensates, just a tad, using his magic to not only mend the flesh but purge all foreign elements from the Sinner’s body…
Leaving behind a stranger with Alastor’s face and voice, but none of his demonic traits or abilities. Or memories.
