Summary
Dr. Anthony Crowley is having a rough year. He's having a rough forty-something years, actually, and the weight of them all has added up to something almost too heavy to lift. His practice is flourishing, but his personal life... well, he'd rather not talk about it. And this is fine, because Crowley's two greatest skills are helping his clients to identify and confront their problems, and actively avoiding his own problems at all costs.
As complicated as those problems are, they're about to get much, much murkier when a new client walks into his office.

Summary
It’s been six days since Aziraphale and Crowley stopped the second coming from coming. That should have been the hard part. The best way to deal with the mess of themselves in the aftermath would probably be to have a nice long talk about the important things.
So instead they go to Royal Albert Hall to hear a performance of the concerto that Crowley accidentally kind-of sort-of commissioned from Antonio Vivaldi, and Crowley didn’t really think everything through.

Summary
Amid the turmoil of a Britain divided under both Anglo-Saxon and Danish rule, Aziraphale and Crowley—pre-arrangement—meet at night on the hills above Charnwood Forest in the hours after finalizing their respective months-long missions.
They struggle to contend with their conflicting feelings regarding their part in the state marriage of Æthelred of Mercia and Æthelflæd of Wessex, for reasons neither can quite explain. Or rather, reasons that they can't quite admit.
