Summary
Some guys don’t know how to take no for an answer. Lucifer is one of them.
Most people in Dean's position would do something civilized, like threaten to flatten Lucifer's snooty face with a lump hammer or file a restraining order.
Instead, Dean concocts a scheme to make out with the hot (and weird) philosophy major that his buddy Ash buys weed from.
It's not a gay thing, it's a proving-a-point thing!
(Okay. Turns out, it might be a gay thing.)

Summary
Dean knew it was his own fault that his alpha's treated him terribly. It had to be his own fault. Both of his alpha's were his own flesh and blood, and neither one had treated him right in the end. So despite all the physical ailments of not having an alpha bond, he refused to enter another alpha bond. His Alpha Rejection Syndrome (ARS) was getting worse, but it wasn't worth the risk.
