His life would be so much easier, so much more straight forward and less goddamn distracting if he didn’t know.
But no. Oh, no, he just had to ask the bloody smart-mouthed, rat-arsed peasant, to join him in the fucking baths.
And now Hans is being fucking haunted.

Then Hans shook his head and said the last thing Henry had ever expected him to say, which was, "No, no. All you need to do is help get me off!"
"Um," said Henry.
"Not like that," Hans had the audacity to say, after he'd made it sound exactly like that.
After Henry gives Lord Capon the fabled Musk of Infinite Allure that he so desperately needed in order to woo the butcher's daughter, he gets called back to the lord's room to solve another problem—the very persistent rut that his potion has apparently set off. Fortunately, Capon doesn't ask for much—he only needs Henry to sit in the room with him and keep him company. It'll be just like any other night, really.

They were leaning back against the wooden sparring pen fence, catching their breaths after a swordfighting session that had left Henry worn out and relaxed and pleasantly sore all over, when Sir Hans flicked his noble chin in the direction of the stables at the back of the courtyard and said, in that without-a-care tone of his,
"He likes you, you know."
Since they're such good friends, Hans decides to take Henry under his wing to teach him how an alpha pursues someone. Henry can't stop thinking about how Hans' breath feels whenever the man leans in to scent him. This ends poorly (extremely well) for the both of them.
