Summary
He let out a noise, hands immediately coming to his head, covering. The banging in his head came all too soon, the rust of achiness rushing into his body all too fast. He felt tears in his eyes start to build, broken sobs spilling out without his imput
It was all too much. He could feel everything, and he was overwhelmed. Deeply.
It took too long for the feeling to go away. He wasn’t sure how long he stayed in a ball shape, but by the time he slowly peaked out from under his arms, the clock on the wall read 2:07am.
What..what? The confusion fluttered, even as he stayed as still as a bird still in its shell. What had happened?
He slowly looked around, flinching at every touch of mattress, pillow, and blanket that dared to touch him. He wasn’t used to..this. The feeling of bone and flesh was too much. His senses were so..loud.
He was..in a room. He briefly remembered it, this room. It was..his? Not Griffin’s, but his. Griffin before, before he got..
He was flooded with confusion. He was back? Why- how was he back?

Summary
Fraser's in a slump in more ways than one. Reading, and hockey. Normally, it's one at a time, but never both. At home, he can't finish a chapter of a book he rereads almost weekly, just from how much he loves it. On the rink, he can't make a pass. His blades are always just a bit too dull for his liking. The chill of the ice distracts him more than it used to. The puck won't stay on his stick when he skates, the one time it's supposed to stay close.
OR
Fraser's horrible game against Ottawa in October prompts two slumps, a diagnosis, and reuniting with a childhood friend almost four months later.Bookmarked by Astrid_43

Summary
Connor got into another accident. At the training he’s doing in Vancouver with Fraser, and Mack, and Ben, and- so on. He’d re-injured his shoulder, his left now rather than his right. He remembered seeing Fraser’s worried reaction as he left the ice, the pain in his eyes. What was worse than seeing his boyfriend concerns for him? The internet’s response to the incident. And now, even more than before, his reputation has build up to what he’s been known for over the years. Soft.

Summary
"Quinn." Jack said his name the way he had on the dock, the day they arrived, not the punchline-setup version, not the performed version, but the real one, the younger-brother one, the version that meant I see you. "I'm sorry."
Quinn looked at him. "Don't be," he said. "I mean it. This is what makes sense."
"It's not-" Jack exhaled, hard, through his nose, rubbed the back of his neck. "It's not that we don't want you around."
"I know," Quinn said.
"It's a hockey thing."
"I know, Jack."
"Because if it wasn't a hockey thing—"
"It's a hockey thing," Quinn said, and there was something in his voice that was not quite patience and not quite the other thing, something in between, that closed the sentence gently but firmly. "I understand. Really. It's a hockey thing and it makes sense and Minnesota is going to be great."
