Summary
He tilts his head. "What're you doing all the way out here, anyway?"
"Just walking," the omega mumbles.
Eddie frowns. "To where? We're miles from anywhere."
The stranger shrugs, sniffs.
Something's wrong.
*****
Featuring Eddie chasing his musician dreams all the way to the west coast, and the lone omega he picks up along the way. Both of them are running - Eddie towards something, Steve away from it.
In his beat-up old van and cheap motel rooms, against a backdrop of sun-drenched highways and roadside diners, Eddie falls head-over-heels in love with the troubled omega in his passenger seat.

Summary
While the two bicker, Steve's eyes wander.
Up.
To the ceiling.
There, about thirty feet down the hallway, something glows in the dark.
A pair of yellow eyes, staring at them.
"Guys," Steve croaks.
"Well, play back the footage, you must've caught it," Eddie's saying, ignoring Steve.
"GUYS!" Steve repeats, louder now, shutting them up. "Look."
Eddie and Dustin follow his gaze.
"What the hell…" Eddie breathes.

Summary
The merman doesn't make a sound, but as Eddie cuts away more and more of the net, he seems to relax a tiny bit. Those sharp eyes never leave Eddie's though.
"My name's Eddie. Do you have a name?"
No reply.
"Your scales are…really pretty," Eddie continues. "I bet they shine in the sun."
At that, a small noise escapes the merman, a quiet trill.
"Oh? You like compliments, huh?" Eddie smiles. "So you can understand me."
"Some," the merman croaks. Weakly, he holds up a hand, brings his thumb and forefinger less than an inch apart, indicating small.
*****
To most people, merfolk are dangerous beasts, evil, hunted down and their scales sold for high prices. To Eddie, they're kind and fascinating creatures from his uncle's old stories, and something he's longed to see for years.
When Captain Creel drags a captured merman on board Eddie's ship, he gets his wish.
Steve is the most beautiful thing he's ever seen, and Eddie's going to free him or die trying.

Summary
Eddie's gaze lingers on him. Soft, fond, and just for a moment Steve feels a bit like a bug in an enclosure himself. Specifically, one of Eddie's favourite little bugs.
Something wet hits his shoulder.
Outside the enclosure, a child points at him and laughs.
"Wonderful," Steve mumbles, staring at the bird shit now decorating his sleeve.
"Oh, you got a little something…" Eddie reaches out towards Steve's hair, then pulls his hand back. "Well. Everywhere, really."
*****
Steve works in the farmyard section of Hawkins Zoo, and spends his days mucking out barns and trying not to fall in love with his co-worker in the Insect House.
He fails.
A little orphan lamb, some nudging from his best friend, and a whole lot of chemistry brings him and Eddie together.

Summary
Maybe it’s the panic in the thief’s large brown eyes. Maybe it’s the yelp the fox lets out as the wolf rumbles above her. Maybe it’s the knowledge that half the kingdom’s been starving since the siege, and this man’s only trying to survive.
Or perhaps it’s the guilt in his heart at the fact that his own cruel father refuses to lift a finger to help the dying town.
His grip loosens, just slightly.
It’s enough for the man below him.
In a flash, he’s twisting, using Steve’s heavier weight against him, rolling to one side and reversing their positions so he’s straddling Steve’s hips, pinning his arms above his head. “Thanks, big boy.” He smirks, eyes glinting.
*****
Steve's patrolling the castle walls, searching for the thief that has been breaking in to the food stores every night.
He finds him.

Summary
Eddie had left Hawkins and its ghosts far behind. After literally crawling back from Hell, he'd swore he would never look back. But on the verge of the winter of 1990, Robin begs him to come with her to help a severely depressed old friend. If "friend" is the right word to describe what Steve Harrington once meant to Eddie.

Nancy is having the kind of week that turns your ribcage into a haunted house. When Steve suggests “one safe tattoo” as emotional first aid, she walks into a shop expecting antiseptic, small talk, and regret.
Instead, she meets Robin Buckley: alpha, tattoo artist, cinnamon-sweet danger in a tank top, and apparently allergic to letting Nancy Wheeler keep her composure.Bookmarked by Atalia_Gold

Summary
In 1998, 72.5 million passengers passed through Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
One of them was Steve Harrington. In fact, a lot of them were Steve Harrington. Every Friday, just like clockwork, he strides off flight 303 from JFK to ORD, in his suit and tie, phone plastered to his ear.
Somewhere else in Chicago, Eddie Munson's life is pretty good. He lives with his best friend. He works nights at a bar he loves. No, it's not what he'd imagined his life was gonna be like at thirty-two, because Steve isn't here, and there was a time he couldn't ever imagine living his life without him.
But he has, and it's fine, everything's fine. Honest.
He's accepted it. Fortunately, the universe, and Gareth, have not.
After a chance sighting in that busy airport, Eddie has the chance to try and reconnect with Steve after nearly a decade apart.

Summary
So Steve didn't complain once. He said nothing about the awful canned food or the bad coffee, about Dr. Buckley's singing in the showers or the smell of Sinclair and Munson when they come up from the engine room. He didn't tell the captain how unfair it was to bunk him with Mike Wheeler and Will Byers, two literal boys who were sharing his cabin, and when finally Steve couldn't take anymore of their giggling and whispering to each other all night long like fucking teenagers oh my fucking Stars — he just took a deep breath.
All day long, Steve was practicing breathing exercises, and repeating calming mantras to himself, in hope that his efforts were gonna be at least appreciated.
And yet, nobody was fucking nice to him.
-------
Steve Harrington tries to embrace his new job as a navigator on the ST Kite, a scout-class spaceship. But just before he arrived, a tragedy struck the crew, leaving them in mourning. The chief engineer, Eddie Munson, is especially hard to work with, and is often very loud about how Steve doesn't have what it takes to be a real spacer. The fact that the guy is also hot doesn't help Steve's situation at all.
