Hitoshi takes control of his new puppet lackey.“I’ll excuse your disrespect this time Persuasion but my patience will not last! Your only hope to get out of here is to agree to my demands!”
Hitoshi is about to fuck subtlety and use Puppet Lackey to attack when the door is suddenly kicked in.
The villain takes a step back. “S-Smiles! I-I can explain!”

Quirkless Izuku never went to UA and never became a hero.
After graduating from a mediocre high school he ends up moving to Fukuoka where he has a crappy job and his apartment is even worse but it does happen to be right under one of Hawks’ favorite flight paths to and from his agency so he gets to see the hero fly overhead at least once a day.
Then one day a villain fight occurs and he ends up rescuing one of Hawks’ sidekicks, The Jet Black Hero, helping him take down a villain.(I don't stick to the prompt exactly but I sure am having fun :D)

Midoriya Izuku was a hero fanboy, all the way. He still had his doubts over how perfect heroes were, but that didn't stop him from dreaming! Even if he was quirkless, and everyone said he couldn't, he still hoped he could become a hero.
All that changed the day his best friend told him to jump off a roof, his Hero crushed his dreams, and all his faith in hero society shattered.
He now had a new dream. If society said he couldn't be a hero, he would be the one to destroy it, instead.
And what better way to bring down a system, than from within?

Todoroki Shouto broke his oath - the one he made because of what happened to his mother, his brother. He felt the only choice was death (but even that was taken away from him).
Yaoyorozu Momo didn't want to be used anymore, so she died her own terms (she didn't, and she's still being used).
Monoma Neito wanted to show the world how hurt he was. They know that now (he didn't plan to see the fallout, but now he will).
Jirou Kyouka couldn't take it anymore. A life for the life she took (but not really - she survived).
Hatsume Mei finally listened to her peers and took a leap of faith (she was caught).

“Good news- I can definitely see ghosts.” Izuku weakly explained. “Bad news- I might’ve underestimated how pissed off the ghost is.”
“You don’t say?” Katsuki couldn’t see the ghost, but he could see Izuku staring at a fixed spot as well and how the peeling wall paper started shuddering as the heavy feeling grew. “You’re the one who researched- how the fuck do we fight it?”
“I-”
The door slammed open again, blasting the ghost woman toward them. Izuku grabbed Katsuki’s arm in a tight grip, partly to make sure he stayed inside the salt circle and partly to keep himself from reeling back outside the circle himself.
Izuku hadn’t needed to know that her skin was more translucent than the bones he could see through it. Just as scary was the newest person to come to the party- a man in all black, whose equally dark hair whipped even more ferociously.
Through the ghost, Izuku saw the man’s eyes burn an even brighter, angrier red. Then he lost track of the plot what the ghost shrieked with a level of vitriol that had him doubled over in pain. When he could look up again, the ghost woman was gone.
The ghost man- now armed with a scythe- still remained.

Summary
With the craziness of their first semester behind them, Izuku and Hitoshi settle into dorm life fairly easily. It’s strange to be around their classmates so much, but it’s nice to be so close, able to just find each other and hang without having to work around school and other schedules.
There’s still the League to worry about, but that’s a distant concern compared to the anxiety inducing announcement that they’re going to be taking their provisional licensing exam before their second semester starts. No pressure.
Hopefully they can find time for a date or two between training, exams, internships, classes and a mountain of homework.

Civilian Analyst Midoriya Izuku and Underground Pro-Hero Shinsou Hitoshi have (somewhat) worked out their misunderstandings just in time to stumble upon another mystery (or three).
A major case has come to Izuku's attention that could save innocent lives and implicate important people, but taking this job may end up painting a target on his back.
Meanwhile, Hitoshi seems to be plagued with a sudden bout of bad luck that strikes at the worst moments.
Building trust and learning how to work together should make the problem(s) easier to resolve... or so they hope. Maybe they'll have time to throw in a date or two while they're at it.
