— "Yes!" Ratthi answers, instinctually.
That had been what had gone wrong the first time, had it not? When they had bought it; when it had left them? But,
"no!"

Summary
Merlin accidentally sets up an orphanage.
-
“You’re doing an amazing thing here,” Lancelot said apropos of nothing as he handed Merlin a nail.
“It’s hardly amazing,” Merlin scoffed, concentrating on fixing the wooden beam in place. “I used to fix my mother’s roof all the time when I was little.”
“I mean here.” Lancelot gestured back to the house. “These children would have nowhere to go if you didn’t take them in.”
“Oh I don’t really do much,” Merlin said with a wave of his hand. “I just pop by every now and then to say hello. Mary does all the work.”
Merlin concentrated back on the roof. Anything not to look into Lancelot’s proud and warm eyes.He couldn’t explain to wonderful, pure Lancelot why he didn’t deserve any praise. Taking in these children, helping them to grow up safe and fed, it was the least he could do after all the destruction he had caused in Camelot.

Shoyo Hinata lives a simple life, dedicating nearly everything to his small business. He's sacrificed his hobbies – and certainly anything resembling a social life – on the altar of the daycare he runs with his sister. He asks for only one thing: at the end of a long day, to blog in peace about his favorite celebrity, professional volleyball player Tobio Kageyama, without harassment from "anonymous".

Summary
Before they could all change, Coach Ukai whistled everyone to circle up.
“A few weeks ago, we took measurements of everyone’s jump.” The team nodded, confused as to why this was being brought up. “While he spent the last week trying to improve himself, Hinata recently made a discovery that not only was he not jumping properly, but that his vertical height was much, much higher than previously measured. I believe it would be beneficial for the team to see so they could factor this new height into our plays, especially Kageyama. Once you all finish your water break, we’ll head to the basketball court again.”
or, Hinata's struggles at the beginning of season four as he finds himself being left behind while everyone else around him becomes better. There's lots of bumps, but in the end he ends up surprising a lot of people.

I held it for a long moment and waited for ART’s litany to run out of steam. When it finished, it did the bot equivalent of taking a deep breath, then said, I am so mad at you.
“I got that.” I know I’m not great at the emotions thing but even I could figure out ART was pissed at me from the raging storm of its feed presence and, you know, all the insults. “Why?”

"Is this about their latest SecUnit rescue subject?" ART asked. Nosy fucker; I should have known it would have bullied the other bot pilot for details.
"SecUnit extraction," I corrected, to be pedantic. Or is it pediatric? Whatever, I wasn't going to ask.
"So it is about that project?" ART plowed forward. "I am not surprised they want your input. You are one of the more valuable information sources they have."
"I just feel like they're setting themselves up for failure," I admitted. "Their newly freed SecUnits keep trying to self-destruct."
There was a .5 second pause. In the feed, it felt like an eternity. "I see," ART said, not sounding so smug anymore. "Yes, that is distressing."

You are currently nearly five minutes late for our planned rendezvous, and have been incommunicado for seven minutes prior. Our contingency plan dictates that should you be more than ten minutes late to our rendezvous, the rest of the crew and myself will leave you behind to escape on your own. Fortunately for you, I think this plan is stupid.
Murderbot disappears on a mission. Three finds it and brings it back to life.

“How the fuck was it not a weapon?” 1.0 demands angrily. “You’d have used it to cause harm.”
“Only to myself. That doesn’t count.”
1.0 stares at me as if I said something completely logically unsound. “Three,” it says with minimal vocal inflection. “What the fuck.”
I cannot determine an appropriate (safe?) response, so I do not respond.

“Rise and shine,” ART said. “We’ll be approaching the port soon enough.”
I wasn’t looking forward to it. In the endless ocean, I could pretend like the matrix of pledges sewn into my skin didn’t matter. On shore, I was horrifically aware of them at every moment. Many humans had some promises etched into their skin, but I wasn’t human, and almost every inch of my skin was covered with glyphs of binding, preservation, and power.

Summary
“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

Summary
The first planetary visit during our teaching run with ART had been mostly fine.
Mostly.
All the humans had stayed on the path. They had refrained from touching unknown flora. They had given the small fauna we had come across a wide berth. The humans had, overall, been the best behaved clients I have ever had on a planet. I was impressed.
The one, giant, problem was Three.
