Ena can’t look at them. Because if she does—the dam she’s so carefully built over the years, sealing away the flood of emotions that have shaped her as a person, will collapse and drown her whole.
So she leaves. Her pace is brisk and rigid, and she doesn’t dare to turn back.
All she can do is pretend she didn’t catch a glimpse of Mizuki staring emotionlessly at the ground, at the cusp of crying. Lacking warmth and everything that makes them who she has fallen in love with.

It’s a taller woman, who undoubtedly shares a striking similarity to her partner in question, however with hints of age. The same partner who she currently has one arm wrapped around, mere moments away from either kissing or punching them.

Ena attending Kamiyama during the day? For a week? Mizuki’s heart, so woefully unprepared, feels so full in their chest now. Their pulse ecstatic, the idea of getting to see Ena at school instills excitement, they’re nearly filled to the brim with an irregular pulse coursing through.
And suddenly Mizuki falters—here comes the pattern again. Elation and excitement is quickly replaced with a sense of overwhelming dread at the entire prospect of it all. Rumors spread quickly here, they're more than familiar, who’s to say none of it will reach Ena’s ears?
They’ll stay away from her. For the entirety of the week. They won’t be caught dead with Ena for these next several days.
