Sakura has episodes, periods of times where he falls back into old habits, where he goes quiet, squirrely, antsy, he can't sit still, eyeing the exit points everywhere and whispering to Suo escape plans if things were to go bad. Brief days of paranoia where slowly reverts back to his younger self before he's back to his usual self, Suo in these instances tends to just be the pillar of support for Sakura, allowing him to place his trust in Suo that he will keep him safe.

Summary
Sakura Haruka had always had a complicated relationship with touch. He...wanted it, but he also knew that being touched meant being in pain. That was probably the first real lesson he'd ever learned. As far back as he could remember, being touched meant he was going to be hurt somehow.
That all changed when he moved to Makochi and found Bofurin. When he found Nirei and Suo. Their touches are different, soft and gentle and never a precursor to the pain he's come to expect.

“She’s me,” Aang answered, looking more perplexed than anything. “I don’t know how, but she’s the… an Avatar.”
“Like… one of your past lives?” Suki asked.
“Actually,” Korra said, “He’s one of mine. I’m the Avatar after him.” And then figuring she might as well drop the pretenses, Korra metalbended the cuffs off of herself and waved, hoping what once would have been an easy feat of bending didn’t make her visibly sweat. “Hi.”
“How did you—?!” Zuko asked as Korra slowly got to standing, watching the Kyoshi warrior drop into fighting stances carefully.
Aang just frowned. “Wait, I can’t metalbend. Why do you get to metalbend?”

During her time away recovering from the Red Lotus attack, Korra stumbles on a spirit that sends her decades into the past, less than a year after the hundred year war. Avatar Aang is happy to help her as much as he can, but his duties and the upcoming anniversary celebrations keep him busy and soon it becomes clear that Korra isn't the only Avatar who could use some help.

Summary
Sakura Haruka fights for two reasons. These days, now that she is strong, it’s to prove that she’s better than the guys she fights—that her worth is higher than theirs—but her very first reason was to prove that she is a person.
Haruka can take the whispers. She can handle the disgusted stares and the closed doors. She really doesn’t need anyone.
As long as she will always be safe from their hands.
It’s odd how much Haruka hates wearing hats, and yet the second she learned what short hair and a few bandages wrapped tight around her chest could do, she readily picked it up.
In other words:
Sakura Haruka hides her gender, finds herself in a safe place, and eventually (~35k words in) starts some kind of revolution that Bofurin probably needs. Sakura might be Makochi’s new spring wind, but storms are named after women.

Tony sighs, turning his face away. He’s so tired. “I can’t build them that weapon, kid.”
Now it’s the kid’s turn to look confused. “Then build something else,” he says simply.

Summary
Flins’ voice sounds like an outright prayer. Those listless eyes of his are fixated only on him, as if he need not beg services of a deity. It is a quiet yet palpable desperation unlike anything seen before. Flins — typically indifferent — at his wit’s end.
Illuga, ever so cruel, refuses him anyway.
“I don’t care. Because…” he pauses. Something different appears in their shared air, so thick and malleable, all-consuming, present enough for a blade to cut through. There’s a hesitant beat, two, several, until Illuga loses count. A mutual acknowledgement between them that, when he vocalizes what he desires to convey, he will truly be past the point of no return.
For the sake of defending his own pride, he does it anyway. Spills out the words plaguing him all this time.
“Because, if I’m the one who dies, it means I won’t have to watch it happen anymore.”
After Dottore’s defeat and the Nightmare Orioles’ mission, Illuga pays Flins a visit.
