There’s no other explanation as to why his familiar acts like every single asshole cat meme to ever exist.
On the off chance his soulmate is a real human being, well… He would never tell his mother this, she raised him too well, but sometimes Clark wishes his soulmate’s familiar was making him feel just as miserable.

And he is sure there’s no need for superpowers, anyone close enough could smell it, it’s so thick.
“Oh, Bruce.” He sighs again, getting closer to the stubborn, stubborn man he loves so much. “You idiot.”
“Good to see you too.” Bruce replies, with a voice so scratchy he sounds like he is actively chewing on broken glass. Jesus.

A sad smile appears on his face as he bends down to pick it up. Things had been so much simpler back then. Yes, his heart had ached then as well, but it had been a different kind of ache: a dull throbbing in the back of his mind, compared to the chronic fatigue that now wracks his entire body.

Wei Ying is incredibly special, born from two dying breeds and producing more blood than his body can manage, blood that enhances a vampires abilities. Is he the answer to Lan Zhan's own issues? Can he overcome his addiction and live a normal life? Lan Zhan sure intends to help as best he can.
