Dazai felt drawn to Room 7. There was something, or someone, there that was pulling him in. But there was nothing special to an outsider. He had seen dozens of single parents and their children come and go. Yet every time he passed Room 7 and watched those dark blue eyes meet his as a neutral greeting, he felt a sense of euphoria. Like he could lay bare his deepest secrets to those eyes, and everything would be okay. There were no lies made up to cover malice. They stared, but there was no pity nor judgement. They stared just to let him know someone was there.
