Summary
Different characters of EPIC: The Musical mysteriously vanish only to appear in a theatre garden by a unknown goddess. They are meant to judge Odysseus and decide the king's fate: will he return home and successfully save his family or will he fail to come home? Only the people chosen can decide the man's fate through watching the man they know sing about missing his wife.

“Buck?” he whimpers. Buck rubs his cheek on the delicate skin right where his jugular is, voice letting out a constant rumble.
He’s purring, Eddie realizes. Buck’s purring.
He puts his lips on Eddie's neck, smearing blood and goo all over him, sticky and wet. And there’s a sudden flick of a tongue, a feeling that makes Eddie’s knees buckle.
“Are you scared?” Buck croaks out. It’s the first thing he’s said since he came here.
“For you,” Eddie says. “I’m scared for you, bud. I just wanna know what’s wrong, you know, to-to protect you, to keep you safe.”
“Safe?”
“Yeah. I just wanna help you, Buck. You’re my best friend.”
Buck nuzzles him. “Yours.”
“Yeah,” Eddie says. “So, please.”
And that’s when Buck bites.

"Eddie. We were just in a car crash, you wouldn't have been able to do anything to stop them."
"No!" he says forcefully. "You don't get it. If I had been awake, they never would have come at all."
Buck's face flickers through a range of emotions. "What?"
"Don't look at me like that," Eddie snaps. He feels like his heart has jumped straight from his chest. "I'm not crazy."
