Summary
His eyes land on Ilya.
For one brief second, Ilya thinks Hollander is going to stop, step out of the walkway, say something. Do anything.
Ilya's hand twitches at his side, absurdly, like it's waiting for a handshake that has not happened yet. Like it's preparing for the contact.
Instead, Hollander gives him the smallest half-nod, barely there, and walks into the arena.
OR: One bad World Juniors drops Ilya Rozanov to sixth overall in the draft and Shane Hollander goes first. Rozanov decides he’s going to spend his career proving the league wrong. What he doesn’t plan on is becoming fixated on Hollander in the process — on the way he plays, and the way he watches Rozanov right back. Somewhere along the way, it stops being about the league’s attention and starts being about keeping Hollander’s.

Summary
Shane has loved Ilya since they were boys. But when a devastating truth means he can never be the mate Ilya deserves, he chooses to walk away before love made him selfish.
Unfortunately for Shane, Ilya has no intentions of letting him go.
ABO! Hollanov
First impressions weren’t exactly working in his favor.
But Shane Hollander had never been particularly good at giving up.
“I wanted to give you something.” he said in a rush, already digging through his pockets for the small trinket. “As a welcome gift.”
When he managed to get a hold of it, his heart thumping nervously against his chest, he handed it over to Ilya.
“It’s not much,” he admitted. “But I hope you like it.”
For a long moment, neither of them spoke. The token rested quietly in Shane’s outstretched palm, its stitched crest catching the afternoon light.Bookmarked by BearyaBoo

Summary
Shane, an omega who is hiding his status, does not expect the first person to learn of it to be his alpha roommate, Ilya, in an anonymous meetup for a heat week sharing arrangement.
"Why don't you sit down, Ilya?" Shane said as he held up his hands in front of him as though Ilya was some sort of wild animal.
"WHY? Where's the omega that's staying in this room?" Ilya demanded, then remembered to tone his alpha voice down a little.
"PLEASE JUST SIT. I'll explain. I promise," Shane said.
Ilya did remember that his rut energy levels were a tad high as he dropped the prosecco on the table with a thump and sat down heavily in the dining chair near the door as Shane took the other seat.
"Shane… That scent… The omega. Is he in the ensuite? When are you leaving?"
"N-no…He's not…"
"Why are you in a bathrobe?"
"Ilya…You're making this conversation very difficult…"

Summary
At 12 Ilya Rozanov learned that loving someone does not always mean you can keep them.
Years later, he has a husband, a dog, a house full of memories of the life he built from scratch, a life he loves so much, a life he worked too hard for, a life he paid for more then enough times.
Then Shane gets hurt and he feels stupid for forgetting the lesson life gave him at 12.
Loving someone does not always mean you get to keep them.
Loving someone does not always mean you are enough to save them.
What begins as an injury becomes surgeries, pain medication, sleepless nights and endless arguments.
Everyone tells him healing takes time, that it is not a straight road, there will be ups and downs, they tell him that he has to keep trying.
Nobody tells him what to do when he is the only one who keeps trying.
Nobody tells him what to do when the pills becomes more important then Ilya himself in the house.
Nobody tells him what to do when same enemy tries to take the most important person in the world for a second time from his arms.
Nobody tells him what to do when the enemy failes yet still wins.
