“You thought Captain America was a man,” the blonde woman finished. “The whole world did. The government wanted it that way. Edited the reels, changed the records. Said it’d kill morale if the hero saving their boys was a woman.”
And what a woman she was.
Tasha was once again very, very glad for her helmet. The gold faceplate hid the flush rising to her cheeks, and the way her gaze kept slipping where it probably shouldn’t.
It was deeply unfair, she thought, that someone could look that heroic and that good doing it.

Summary
Steve goes right to the hospital from having a drink with Sam, spelling out his intent to tell Tony he's in love with him even as Tony may be laid up.
He’s doing this. He’s doing this. He’s really doing this.
There’s a nurse securing a new cath bag to Tony when he enters - Tony, who is hooked up on various wires to keep his limbs up off the bed, save for his right, all in casts; a limp puppet. This doesn’t make any sense. Iron Man doesn’t get this hurt from falling from the sky. His armor makes sure of it. A few hours later, he and everyone else manage to come to one solid conclusion: they'd all thought someone else was taking care of it.
Tony had slipped through the cracks.
Who else is to take care of Tony in these trying times? Steve, of course - Steve, who can't find the right moment to say it out loud.

Summary
It’s pretty simple. One thing the documentation on Captain America’s supersoldier serum never mentioned in writing was that it stimulated his gynecomastia – which he was born with, alongside a good sixth of the human population – and Steve can lactate. Does lactate. Not often, or on the regular, but enough that Tony knows and keeps a perverted eye out for when it does happen.
He can’t help it. At all. Ever. It’s the sexiest thing in the whole entire world, and when he does actually get his eyes on Steve leaking ever so slightly through a shirt, or changing out a gauze pad when he’s having one of those days where Steve needs them, it’s always a great day for Tony.
So this, now, is a lot of the best thing Tony’s ever seen in the worst situation it could ever be in.

“What if—” Steve doesn’t clear his throat this time. He swallows. And oh, Tony watches like it’s happening in slow motion, the tensing of tendons, the roll of Steve’s Adam's apple, the way his suprasternal notch collapses and fills as his esophagus works to, what, keep words down? Saliva? A moan? Steve blinks and the glassiness clears. The blush all but vanishes. “Never mind,” he mutters.
And that…that just won’t do.
Tony leans forward ever so slightly over the foot of the bed, further into Steve’s space by a fraction of an inch. Anyone else wouldn’t have noticed, but Steve does. He stares at Tony from up near the headboard, a plaintive expression deep behind his eyes, a problem that Tony can’t help but want to fix.
“Would you like my help, Steve?”

Steve gets caught attempting to take his first-ever dick pics. It's a struggle, he explains, because it brings up a whole host of lingering body image issues. Tony, very gallantly and not at all because he is in love with Steve, offers to take the photos for him.
[Cue: "Careless Whisper."]

Subs need to belong to a dom. That's the law and being Captain America doesn't place you above the law. But when Steve shows up to a fight with ugly looking injuries Tony gets worried. Tony starts digging. Of course Iron Man is a switch, everyone knows that, so what does he know about what goes on between doms and subs? And why should Steve listen when Iron Man charges in to his defense? No other dom wanted the contract of an overgrown sub like Steve. Not even Mr. Stark.

Summary
So Tony finds out about these Infinity Rocks or whatever, and apparently those sparkly-ass pebbles are more powerful than his Iron Man suits.
It takes a lot of convincing from Steve to tell Tony he is bigger, better, stronger, and more powerful than any of these so-called Guardians of the Galaxy. Sexier, too.
In the end, it takes a lot of showing him he’s sexier to take Tony’s mind off it.

“Tony’s… real submissive,” Clint says, and Steve feels a tingling kind of warmth throughout his body at those words, alongside a sharper bolt of desire. But then he gets his brain around it and Clint’s words don’t make any sense, in context. He’s paused, expectantly, like that’s supposed to mean something on its own.
“...okay.” Steve blinks. “I mean, he doesn’t seem like it,” he adds, thinking of how standoffish Tony can be, how he tends to keep his distance from Steve. “But that’s kinda… I mean he’s an omega, Clint. I figured. What’s the catch?”
(In a world where omegas are expected to be bratty, a very submissive Tony Stark is kind of a joke... but Steve's not laughing.)
