Kakashi is far more familiar with the actual concept of a drinking contest than Guy is. He lives with Sakumo, after all, and Sakumo’s turned to drinking more and more lately.
Still, there’s something endearing about Guy’s pervading innocence and straightforwardness to Kakashi, especially when nothing else in the world makes sense.
