Summary
“Relax, Clarisse."
“If I relaxed my body now, I’d fall apart,” Clarisse says, huffing out a cold laugh. “I’ve always lived like this, and it’s the only way I know how to go on. If I relaxed even for a second, I will cease to exist as the only thing I was ever meant to be: a weapon.”
“You’re more than that,” Silena tells her. “You are.”

Silena Beauregard is a princess and heir to her mother’s throne. She’s busy trying to prove herself as more than just a pretty face. To do that, she’s going to have to betray her kingdom and all of the people she loves.
Clarisse is a knight. She was raised by the sword, by her anger. Now, she is sworn to protect the princess. As a knight, she must be devoted to those she serves. Utterly and completely devoted. That’s certainly the only reason she thinks about Silena as often as she does. No other reason…

Summary
Clarisse La Rue is generally hot-tempered, arrogant, brave, and strong — like most children of Ares. She's lost track of how many people have told her she's destined for greatness. She knows she could be a great hero, maybe even as legendary as Achilles.
When Luke tries to sneak into Camp Half-Blood through the Labyrinth, everyone looks to Clarisse to help guard and protect camp. Clarisse starts to crumble under the pressure. During the summer leading up to the Battle of the Labyrinth, Clarisse finds support and encouragement where she never thought she would: Silena Beauregard. Friendship, and maybe something more, blossoms where it shouldn’t.
OR: a Clarisse x Silena fic that spans from The Battle of the Labyrinth to The Last Olympian and parallels Achilles and Patroclus' relationship.
