Summary
It's been months since Dante lost a brother and found a nephew. Still dealing with the aftermath of the Temen-ni-gru and struggling to raise a rambunctious Nero on his own, he's fighting just to keep his head above water. When a demon hunt goes awry and accidentally exposes his supernatural nature to a long-time client, Dante expects only the worst. Instead, he's offered a helping hand up-- the first of many. Maybe... Summary
After the events of Temen-ni-gru, the Sparda family settled into demon hunting out of the Devil May Cry. With time passing, it seems that they can be assured in their strength and safety. However, Mundus doesn't let debts go unpaid and manages to get his hands on one of Sparda's sons.
While the other immediately leaves to find his brother, old faces turn up and danger comes to even the youngest in Sparda's line.
(I do not own Devil May Cry or any of the characters. Rated for mentions of torture. Follows the events of DMC1)

Another cough, this time rougher, forced him to stop. His throat burned. Dante clutched the edge of the book as his body doubled over in a harsh fit that left him gasping, spittle slipping from the corner of his lips.
Then he realized, a shadow had fallen over him. Dante looked up. Vergil stood just beside him, his armored frame towering. But something was different this time. His crimson eyes weren’t blank. They were focused.
“Um... hey.” Dante said, voice hoarse but touched with surprise.

After Dante rescued his brother from Mallet Island, Dante's weakened body fell ill from the battle. Nelo Angelo isn't sure what this means, but he won't let his littermate suffer.

With a little concentration, frost spread out from the point of contact across the bowl and the ice cream inside refroze. Warren begrudgingly lowered his shoulder to give him another bite in exchange for services rendered.
"What," he said flatly, elbowing Bobby until he slid off of him and onto the stool beside.
"I got Scott to play a game," he said archly. "He's outside being, like, really intense about horseshoes."

Summary
Scott Essex believes he has no brother instead it was a trick his mind played him to be able to cope, that was at least what his father said. His father does not lie, he loves him. Being found by Sinister and raised as his son was not easy but Scott deals with it. His past before that being but an unimportant blur he has no access to. He is part of the Marauders and protecting his father's work from mutants such as the X-Men.
Alex Summers on the other hand still struggles with the loss of his older brother unsure if what he does is enough and what he wants to do. Is he just as much an amazing brother to Gabriel as Scott was to him? Everything changes though when he finds out that Scott was not dead but instead held by Sinister. What would happen if they were ever to cross paths with one another.This story tries to play with the question of what would happen had Sinister adopted Scott as his son instead of trying to manipulate him in the dark.

Brothers of all time: Most brainwashed guy alive who is honestly just kinda vibing his way through both figuring out his life is a lie AND still loving his horrible dad (while his other horrible dad is also around), the struggle ling who cannot get anything he wants without a monkey's paw shriveling and is mourning his not-dead brother while also kinda wanting to kill him and hug him at the same time, low empathy child who is the only one solving literally any problems despite being the one who cares the least about this whole situation.
Featuring: two horrible dads (one of whom is worse but the other one pisses me off more), Logan providing some much-needed tough love, Ororo being the only one with her head on straight, Lorna doing her best, Jean being MVP, Hank doing morally dubious things, Meagan (who I will protect with my LIFE), whatever Professor Xavier has going on.
Notably not featuring: A therapist, communication skills, happiness that comes without caveats, Nathaniel Essex for the past like 14 chapters (what is he doing, I am afraid)

After saving Jazz from the collapsing tunnel, Orion Pax had promptly passed out. When he woke back up, though, something was different. Something about him had changed. Something had changed the way he looked at his best friend.
And it broke D-16's spark to think about it.
Optimus Prime woke up as Orion Pax again, and though he panics at first, he realizes the opportunity at hand to fix where things went wrong. He wants to save D-16 from becoming Megatron and prevent the war that destroyed Cybertron. He would set things right this time, and he wouldn’t lose anyone else.
If only he would stop seeing those red optics on his best friend’s face.

There was no better surveillance than a living ship. He'd ostensibly been freed, only to be transferred to a prison that could watch him and sense him all the time. A prison that was aware, immature, and hell-bent on sabotaging Megatron's daily existence.
