“Tsushima Shuuji,” Chuuya reads out loud. “A bright, optimistic young man with a pep in his step and a zest for life. Hang on–is this referring to you?”
“Unfortunately,” Dazai laments, sighing dramatically. “You just got away with ‘science nerd’ and ‘soccer player,’ but I’m supposed to be an artist! I hate art! It’s useless!”
“Shut the fuck up. That’s not the problem here. You? A ‘zest for life?’ Looking forward to each new morning? Hah! Rimbaud would sooner come back to life.”
Dazai turns to Chuuya with the barest facsimile of a smile painted over his lips.
“I,” he says sweetly, “am going to gut you open like a fish.”
Dazai and Chuuya are seasoned mafiosos at the ripe old age of almost-seventeen. They’ve fought gang wars, interrogated prisoners, and done all manner of unspeakable things. Now, they face their greatest challenge yet: going (undercover) to a real high school. With regular teens (who may or may not be desperately trying to get them to kiss).

Just last week, someone has attempted to engineer a car crash that would send Dazai’s car toppling off a rainy mountain road. The end result is that an entire mountain has been vaporized, leaving only a massive crater.
All because of an indignant Chuuya with hands on his hips, yelling, “That’s my pet fish! Don’t touch him! I’m the one who’d kill him in the end!”

“Techno,” Wilbur says by greeting, throwing open the door of Techno’s dorm room, with just the right amount of melodrama to make Techno roll his eyes, endeared but not irritated. “Let’s go. Let’s leave. Let’s do something.”
“Go where?” Techno asks, grabbing a nearby scrap of paper off of his nightstand and slipping it between the pages of his book to mark his page. “Do what?”
“You don’t have any plans for summer, right?” Wilbur says instead of answering, a half-manic gleam in his eyes.
“I have a part-time,” Techno says slowly.
“Give me two weeks,” Wilbur insists.
