"So," Logan uncorked the bottle without even glancing at the label. Howard drank only the best and Logan had certainly drank worse. "What's the job?"
Howard accepted the container when Logan handed it to him, a hand on the wheel and both eyes on the road. "Bodyguard."
"I ain't exactly in the protectin' business," Logan snorted. He cracked the window with one hand while the other searched his pocket for a cigar. Howard gestured towards his own pack on the dashboard with the bottle, inviting the shorter man to help himself.
"I pay very well," Howard paused to take a sip of bourbon. He passed it back once the mutant had his cigar lit. "I need someone I can trust and I trust you."
"You barely know me," Logan alternated between alcohol and cigar. Even if he didn't accept the job, he was enjoying the perks. "We fought Nazis together half a fuckin' century ago."
"I know enough," the man snapped, his eyes leaving the road for a moment. His knuckles had turned white against the steering wheel. "I know you aren't Hydra."

Summary
Movement in the mirror warned Victor a second too late. Six silver knives burst several inches out of his chest as Logan stabbed him through the driver seat.
Victor snarled unintelligibly and struggled to keep the jeep on the road, pressing down harder on the pedal. They needed more distance before he could deal with this.
Three blades retreated and returned a few seconds later, cutting through Victor's shoulder with ease. His vision blurred from blood loss and the wheels slid off the road, smashing through bushes and thin spindly trees until a boulder crumpled in the front of the vehicle and sent Victor crashing through the windshield.
Logan ripped his claws free from the seat and carved his way out of the jeep, mad with fear and whatever chemicals they'd been flooding him with.
"Jimmy," Victor groaned into the dirt, struggling to push himself up on broken arms. "You are makin' it real difficult to rescue you!"

Victor Creed gets a new job with all the killing he could want and the longest romantic relationship he's ever had. Logan gets invited up to Alkali Lake to meet her and has the worst birthday of his life. Cue brotherly bonding in the form of murder.

Summary

Of all the things that Logan was expecting that morning, for sure he did not expect his motorbike to be abducted and tied up on Victor Creed's pick-up.
Of all the things that Victor Creed was not expecting that morning, for sure NOT being stabbed by Logan was not on the list. Even though he hoped for a day without stabbings.
Just a tiny, useless hope, since destiny really had it in for him.
