"And that means I don't do Christmas anymore?"
"I mean, yes? We can do Christmas, I guess, if you're attached?"
"I mean I like the cookies," Gavroche explained. "Bringing a tree inside is weird, though. What do we celebrate instead? Is there cookies? Any trees?"
"We celebrate Hanukkah and it's, uh." Grantaire did not remember how to celebrate. "Pick some stuff that can be traditions and that will be Hanukkah."
Grantaire, by way of Gavroche, is invited to Christmas Eve eve dinner on the sixth night of Hanukkah. Chaos ensues.

Summary
When their attempts to recreate the super soldier serum failed, Hydra started trying to breed Captain America clones from his genetic samples. Unfortunately, the serum's effects aren't passed down genetically, so instead of an army of tiny Captain Americas, they get a bunch of tow-headed, asthmatic, allergic, immuno-compromised little Steves.
