Summary
Voldemort kills Lily and James Potter on Halloween night.
Harry Potter, however, survives.
Not because of mercy.
After dark magic and tragedy leave their infant son stillborn it leaves Severus Snape and Lord Voldemort drowning in grief, the Dark Lord becomes determined to defy fate itself. So when a prophecy promises yet another child destined to destroy him, Voldemort refuses to lose anything ever again.
But when he looks down at the infant meant to destroy him, Voldemort sees the ghost of the son he already lost. And for one impossible moment, he cannot do it.
Instead of killing Harry Potter, he takes him.
Renamed Hadrian Prince and raised within the Dark Alliance, the child of prophecy grows up surrounded by old magic, political ambition, impossible expectations and two deeply damaged men who maybe were never meant to become parents.
Unfortunately for all of them, Hadrian is still only a child. Meanwhile, the wizarding world believes the Dark Lord is dead.
Or: Voldemort kidnaps Harry Potter to outmaneuver destiny and accidentally creates the world’s most dysfunctional family.

Summary
Harry just hasn't been the same since his wife died a year and a half ago, and he knows it. But knowing something doesn't make you able - or willing - to change things. It doesn't help him sleep, doesn't help him reconnect with the family and friends he's pushed away, and doesn't help him make sense of the realities of becoming deaf so late in life. So when a total and utter bastard of a potion brewer moves into one of the workshop units downstairs of his broom repair business, he couldn't want less to do with the man. Alas, not everything is as it seems with this mysterious wizard, and Harry discovers that he can be a bit of a bastard, himself.
CW: Ginny died, and legit the first 70k words of this fic is Harry making a new friend and recovering from losing the love of his life; featuring violent flashbacks, panic attacks and very questionable but amusing choices!

Summary
When Harry finds an injured Snape on his doorstep and must hide him from the Dursleys, he has no idea that this very, very bad day will be the start of something good.
Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story.
