Your other half, the person that completes your heart, all that sappy shit. Zeus intended for this search to be a struggle, but that’s not how it works anymore. It’s much, much easier to find your missing piece now. Your soul mate’s name is ‘burned’ into your skin from the time you are both alive, and it’s destiny for you to cross paths at some point—there are no star-crossed lovers in this world. This prevents heartbreak, the fear of divorce or living alone, one of the worst emotional pains ever experienced (save for death). "He's here, Lyd." Allison relaxed her head against her best friends door, trying to make the room stop spinning. This was it. This was how she was going to go out.
"No. Nonononononono." Lydia's vision was blurred by tears as she rammed her shoulder into her door for the third time, "This isn't how this is supposed to happen."
Allison's head was moving along with the rhythm Lydia set, "It's not going to budge."
"What's the point of being a werewolf if you can't even save your best friend?" Lydia went back to breaking down the door. She finally stopped and sunk to her knees, "Allison, I'm so sorry."
(Or in other words: A big bad comes into town (The Midnight Man) after the girls play the game. The pack tries to stop it and Sterek happens... along with a lot of other relationships. Yeah. There's a lot more to this story though.)
