Summary
The Apocalypse has been averted. Sam is gone. And when God brought Castiel back, it was in his diminished, powerless state.
A few months on, Dean and Cas have been circling each other as they navigate their weird new life at Bobby’s. It’s tenuous and uncertain and shaky as Hell, up until Cas gets sick. Really sick. As he’s suddenly stuck trying to keep Cas kicking, Dean is left to wonder what he’ll do if he loses the only thing he has left.

Summary
“Not again.”
Castiel Novak almost drops his phone into his bowl of way too sugary sweet cereal as his usually well-behaving feed of nature videos and cats terrified of cucumbers has him unwittingly scrolling onto yet another post that, in Castiel’s not-so-humble opinion, wouldn’t be unsuited for a NSFW feed. Which his isn’t, thank you very much. (Even though that’s just because his niblings love to snoop around his phone way too much for him to dare to stray from anything even remotely considered PG13.)
And okay. The man is fully clothed.
That does not mean he is decent.
Castiel chokes on a bit of spit and blushes a bright red when the cowboy winks at him through his telephone screen, quickly scrolling onto the next video. This time it’s an octopus squeezing itself into a tiny hole on the side of a ship.
Oddly enough, this changes nothing about the predicament in his pants.

Summary
Dean and Cas had a good thing going. They worked fantastic together as hunters, the sex was mind-blowing, and while Dean didn’t want to define it, he could see a future together. Things got considerably more complicated when they found out not only was Dean pregnant with a nephilim, but heaven and hell were both determined to find and kill them and their unborn child.
Canon divergent from the end of “Rock Never Dies”. The boys successfully defeat Lucifer at the end of that episode, so LOTUS never happens and Jack is never conceived.

Impala is still in the garage. After a thorough search of the bunker, Sam finds Dean’s soul and Cas’s grace trapped by a circle of runes. Their bodies are sprawled naked a few feet away.
Sam looks at the scene, resigned. “Oh no, it was a sex thing again, wasn’t it?”

Dean has plenty of mistaken beliefs about witchers. All he knows is that they're 'monsters' who are really not worth your time - unless you have a monster to slay or you're a bard who wants to write a song about the legendary hunters. But these rumours do not stop him from walking right into a monster-infested forest to save one when the opportunity arises.
After doing that, well, Dean can't seem to get rid of the guy. He now seems destined to meet Castiel, though he did wish one of them wasn't always bleeding when it happens. (He also, not so secretly wishes Castiel would screw him one of these days)

His enforced vacation has been taken over by a live fantasy story, complete with dragons.
Dean’s determined to help Castiel get home… until he starts falling for him. It shouldn’t be that hard to convince the guy to stay? After all, who’s going to choose mud and living in your own stink, over memory foam, coffee machines, and a high-pressure shower?
