The Jedi Order is old. Very, very old. It has its nooks and crannies, mysteries and people that seem to have always been there.
And the Creche Grandmaster Laurefindil is perhaps one of the last things that remain of the oldest history of the Order and the Temple.
He loves this family, and every child he remembers raising.
He will be damned before he lets them go to war unprepared. He will be damned if he lets any of his charges come to harm. And if he just so happens to take some clones as his charges...well.

The only reason Ono Toshiko thought she survived her consciousness waking in her third life was because she had those words ringing in her head.
The thought of having to start all over again every time she died, of being denied the peace of an afterlife, was a horrific one. Forging new bonds and finding new loves in each life only to lose them one after another. Being eternally ground down by life and loss. Forever denied her rest.

“Neither am I,” she cuts in brutally. “Neither are you. It’s not an insult, just fact. But everyone else is antsy, especially the older folks. I guess I get it. You can feel it too—like there’s a nuke out there ’bout to drop on us all.”
Yuuta winces. But he can’t disagree.
The volume of Gojou’s cursed energy has increased, outstripping Yuuta’s own to nearly match what Sukuna was putting out earlier. That alone wouldn’t have been so bad. But the way it feels…
Like space expanding, endless and inevitable—the eater of worlds, there in their backyard.
“And Itadori-kun has been there with him this whole time?” he asks.
“Couldn’t pry him away if you tried.”
Satoru does not go gentle into that good night. Yuuji’s just happy to have his teacher back.
Everyone else is rather concerned.

Unfortunately for you, the patriarch of said draconic galactic empire was the best at what he did, which leaves you, his grandson, with not much conflict to have to worry about. The galaxy is united under one post-scarcity banner, and immortal dragons keep it running.
Or so you would think. Your grandfather might have been (the word 'might' is doing a lot of work there) perfect, but even he was bored by the idea of a flawless galaxy. The dragons he created to run his empire in his absence are woefully susceptible to even just basic political corruption, and you have a mind to fix that. How? You can read the title.

Tolkien gave us some fascinating female character (Éowyn, Galadriel, Arwen, Lúthien) but very little time with them, and many more of his female characters weren’t given backstories or heroic deeds or even names (see, the wives of Maglor, Caranthir, and Curufin, among others). The fandom (including me) hasn’t done as much to remedy this as we could. These are the fics where I’ve tried to give them their due, especially as POV characters and with some character study.
