Summary
It took MJ about four weeks to realise Peter Parker was Spider-Man; a part of him feels a bit dumb for not knowing sooner. He’d heard a few whispers here and there in high school about how scrawny and meek Peter Parker picked up Flash like it was nothing, or could throw a football across a field all of a sudden. And sure, he had sneaked a peek at Peter’s notebook when his eyes lingered, noticing the intricate designs for something he couldn’t make out at the time.
But MJ had looked past it all, assuming that the guy was finding outlets for his Uncle’s passing. Since they barely knew each other, MJ didn’t feel he had a right to ask the very same questions dancing around the halls. Still, he should’ve been more curious about it; hell, he prides himself on his curiosity. And admittedly, MJ probably would’ve noticed sooner if he weren’t too busy making googly eyes all those years ago.
Though a four-week record wasn’t too bad to realise something as insane as Peter Parker of all people being Spiderman. What was bad, in his standards, was not noticing that he liked him.

It's late. Later than anyone should reasonably be up and exercising, but here Jimmy is, cutting through the water like a knife, back and forth through the lane closest to the edge of the pool. He's the only one in the water, but he's just as easily identified by the ridiculous Captain America swim cap stretched over his head, his bright yellow goggles flashing even in the low late-night lighting. It brings a smile to Tango's face, seeing Jimmy wearing his good luck charms even for a few laps at fuckoff-o'clock in the morning.
He's not a swimmer like Jimmy, so he isn't familiar with all the fancy-schmancy terminology, but he's sure there's some very elaborate way to describe the way Jimmy's muscles shift under his skin and ripple with every smooth stroke of his arms, long legs kicking strongly behind him. As of right now, Tango– being ever the wordsmith he is– can only think, oh wow buff holy void fuck and other eloquent verbiage.

It hadn’t been too difficult to take down the target, just a rogue golem that had slipped out of its control spell and rampaged through a small village, but the reward had been a few dozen gold pieces, plus a boost to the mercenaries’ reputations.
He barely noticed as an almost imperceptible weight vanished from his right side. He quickly whipped around, searching the crowd as his hand patted his belt, predictably finding the sack of gold they’d earned today missing. Sighing, Scar rolled up his sleeve and pressed the pad of his thumb against the True Sight sigil Inked into his skin, the pair of eyes lighting up as he applied pressure and spoke the activation phrase.
The brunet winced at the wave of energy rolling through him, blinking a few times to adjust to the new wave of information hitting his brain as every detail became ten times sharper. He quickly noticed his target, a short man with a hair color between blonde and brown who was turned away from him and in the process of slipping a certain bag under his jacket. He waggles his eyebrows exaggeratedly at Nico, whose brow furrows for a moment as he thinks. Will watches as Nico's eyes widen briefly in recognition before rolling in annoyance, closing for a moment as he lets out an exasperated groan.
"You're insufferable, Solace."
"You like it," Will beams, glancing back down at the bed again. "Gods… I remember so many nights spent here…" He pulls Nico a little closer, guiding them to sway back and forth a little in a strange sort of dance. "… finishing up after a long shift at the infirmary… sneaking over to your cabin…" He grins, pressing his lips to Nico's ear and letting his voice drop in a manner that he hopes is enticing. "Climbing into bed with you…"

And because it's been two weeks. Two weeks of college ramping up homework and projects in preparation for the final exams period, two weeks of steadily mounting stress and late-night study sessions for both of them. Two weeks of being too stressed out to even think about sex, and now that there's finally a moment of stillness, the unfulfilled need of it all seems to come rushing forward in a single moment, like a dam breaking apart to make room for the incoming tidal wave.
