Summary
Christmas was supposed to be perfect.
Bobby got the entire A-Shift two days off. Athena opened her home to everyone. Eddie and Christopher were determined to give Buck the Christmas he never had growing up. For the first time in years, Buck is actually excited for the holiday.
Then Maddie invites their parents.
As old wounds reopen and decades of hurt come crashing down around him, Buck is forced to confront the truth about his childhood, his family, and the brother he was never allowed to remember. But this Christmas, he’s not facing it alone.
Because Bobby and Athena have already claimed him as family. Christopher loves him unconditionally. Eddie would burn the world down for him. And for the first time in his life, Buck might finally learn what home is supposed to feel like.
A story about grief, healing, found family, and the people who choose to stay.

Summary
Buck was an idiot. He knew that. He knew that in far too many ways, many of which he tried desperately not to think about too much. And yet there he was, in the living room of the house that still didn’t quite feel like his home, psyching himself up for a fucking Buckflip.
His back hurt. It had been radiating with pain all day. He had also been having some very minor stomach cramps every so often.
But he was an idiot.
And he did it anyways.
And he failed. Landing hard on his already pained back. Winded. Hating himself for a moment for being such an idiot.
But the moment of self-hatred was all he was allowed before pain unlike any he had felt before gripped at his stomach, leaving him gasping and groaning in pain, curling up into a ball on his side, tears filling his eyes, and his hand covering his firm stomach....
The attempted Buckflip in 9x11 goes awry when it sends Buck into active labour. Buck calls Eddie, who helps him through it. It's Eddie's baby. From a one night stand. They talk. They get together. They have a daughter.

Summary
Except the firehouse doesn’t have a weighted blanket.
It does, however, have—
“Buck?” Eddie tilts his head back against the couch cushion, looking at Buck sitting at the dining table with the cap of his pen between his teeth.
“Hm?” He looks up from the crossword, glancing at Eddie.
“What’s up?”
“Can you come here for a second?”
“Okay, sure.”
Buck caps the pen and drops it on the table with a clatter. His chair scrapes against the floor of the loft with a sound that makes Eddie’s teeth ache. Each step Buck takes across the loft rattles Eddie’s bones to the point that a Jack and the Beanstalk joke sits on the tip of his tongue.
***********
OR Eddie turns Buck into his personal weighted blanket.

Summary
A mayday call, much like a stone cast into a pond, sends out ripples in all directions. Those closest to the epicenter feel the greatest turbulence, while those farthest away may only feel the slightest tremor. These are the ripples from “Mayday mayday mayday, this is Captain Nash, 118, we have a firefighter down at the MacArthur Park Apartment Fire. We need an additional Task Force and Rescue immediately.”
AKA Trauma has a splash zone, and when you’re Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley getting hit by lightning, it’s a pretty big one. A look at what various 9-1-1 characters were doing when they learned what happened, and how they responded.
