Summary
The second he heard the prayer, and the little offering of orange slices, he knew the child was his brothers son. A child that shouldn't exist. He was stunned. For a moment, all he knew was rage, and then he heard the prayer,
King Zeus, please give me the frame of mind to pass judgment fairly instead of acting with my fists first.
It was worded like a young child. It wasn't what his prayers were about, in this day in age, when he got them. It gave him pause.

Could not fix it.

Summary
There was no space for grief. War was coming. But grief was the sort of tenant that moved in uninvited and refused to leave. It squatted in Poseidon’s chest even as he saw to the daily business of his duties. He couldn’t stop thinking about that moment of shock. The offence he’d felt at his fellow Olympians doubting his honour, and how it had paralysed him. If he’d been swifter, perhaps he could have put himself between the bolt and Percy. He could have spirited him away. He could have…
There was so much he could have done.

Summary
Had Anakin truly been this thin, this malnourished and sickly, when he first arrived at the Temple? Had his clothes always been so ill-fitting and threadbare, his boots barely holding together?
And had none of them—not one of their twelve—recognized his circumstances and offered him compassion?
-----
One moment, Mace watches in horror as Anakin betrays the Jedi Order and becomes a Sith Lord.
The next, he finds himself at the Temple a decade before the start of the war, and encounters a half-starved nine-year-old boy in threadbare clothing.
Or, Mace Windu has a chance to redo the first meeting between himself and Anakin Skywalker and takes the opportunity to make things right.

Summary
AKA how Anakin may not have been able to free the slaves on Tatooine, but he could do this. He could do this. Now with an unexpected second chapter!!
~
“Let me try,” General Skywalker slowly took the place of the frustrated shiny that was having a go at coaxing the young Twi'lek out.
His General has never been a patient man, Rex thought absently as he prepared himself for the Jedi to call it quits and pass off extraction duty to some poor shiny.
A sharp sound shook Rex out of his thoughts. He focused on his General, who’s face softened despite the red flush creeping up his cheeks. He was speaking to the girl, Rex realized, in a language he had never heard before.
Anakin slowly brought the hand that was still resting inside the cave up and tapped his own chest twice.
“Skywalker,” Was all he said.
Any other time, Rex or Obi-Wan would give him a hard time about thinking he was so important that just his name would be enough to get this little girl out of the cave, but something was different. Something in the way that he said it, like it was a title more so than his last name, and in the way that the little girl gasped sharply from inside the cave.
