Not even her long term girlfriend, Cleo, knows about what happens to her once a month for a night. Though, she really should have thought about this before moving in with them, or that they might be hiding something equally as surprising in turn.

Pearl surveyed the room much more thoroughly, stopping short when she spotted the now open bathroom door with a pig sniffing around the doorframe.
“I— is that— that’s not a pig is it?”
Apo let out a whine, and when Pearl spun back around to face her, they were pulling at their hair, “Truffleee…”
OR
Five times Apo and Pyro tried (and failed miserably) to hide Truffle from their friends, plus one time they didn't even bother to try.

“You want to talk?” Apo—murderer, traitor, Truffle was good and sweet and kind—offers.
“I don’t think we have anything to talk about,” he says. Apo’s mouth ticks down at the corners, but she doesn’t look surprised.
“You wanna dance, then?” she asks, and flexes her claws.

But before he could say another word, Zed was pulling his jacket from his shoulders, holding it out to Tango as a silent offering.
The man laughed loudly and swatted it away, brushing the man off.
“Vampires don’t get cold!”
The blonde reached up and seized the arm Tango had caught him with earlier, trailing his gentle touch up from Tango’s wrist and onto his palm. Slotting their fingers together once more, Zedaph smiled softly.
“Maybe they do on Christmas.”

Shelby bursts into a swarm of bats, darting forwards to grab Avid by the collar and hoist him into the air. He’s lighter than expected – this vampiric strength is nothing to scoff at.
Of course, he starts flailing immediately.
“Whoa-! Holy- Shelby?”
“Watch the bats, dude. I’m one of those and I don’t wanna drop you.”
The flailing subsides. “Sorry, it’s just- Bats kinda really gross me out.”

What it did not say, was to destroy herself in the process, to make herself nothing more than the Secret Keeper’s watchful eye. But she did. And Pearlescentmoon was the one to notice.
