Bucky stays there, frozen, arm tossed out over Steve's side of the bed. He doesn’t know what to say— this isn’t exactly normal. They haven’t had to deal with anything like this in a while, retirement settling over both of them kindly.
This Steve, smaller and dressed like he was dropped straight from the 1930s into Bucky’s bedroom, Stands motionless and looks alarmingly pale. Bucky has to go first, clearly. He just doesn’t know what could possibly help. Steve might know, his Steve, who is also apparently missing. Jesus Christ.
“Hi,” Bucky squeaks, aiming for reassurance and ending up lightyears away.

Will has a boyfriend.
Except Mike is the one who carries his things, pays for whatever he wants, and cuddles him close on movie nights. He fixes the hot water issue in their shared apartment. They visit each other's families for the holidays. Mike cooks for Will, opens doors for him, and purposefully blurs every line other people draw between 'just friends' and whatever it is he and Will are.
The only problem is that Will doesn't seem to think it's much of one.
The only problem is that Mike happens to agree with him.

What kind of friend holds your ass like this?” Mike emphasizes his point by sweeping his hands over the curve of it, fingers digging into that part right below the fat, where his thigh meets ass and tugging. The movement pushes Will forward, has him clawing his hands into Mike’s biceps.

Will makes a small, startled sound, and then he’s laughing, hiccupping a bit from the force of it. “Your what?” Will manages, breathless, grinning despite himself.
Behind him, Mike’s smiling, he can feel it, the way it presses warm and bright into his shoulder. “My wife,” Mike repeats, even though he's tensing a little like he's nervous Will is going to turn him down.
or, It's Will's birthday and Mike's planned the whole day for him, like a good boyfriend should. Will's a lot more focused on the fact that Mike keeps referring to him as his wife, though.

According to Heidi Murkoff, he can say goodbye to morning sickness (thank God) and say hello to, well, increased everything in the second trimester: increased appetite, increased energy, increased libido. And indeed like clockwork, he found out why the second trimester was called “the honeymoon period”.

Mike swallows thickly, watching Will pull his pants up, having to do a little hop and jump to get them up over his ass, buttoning and zipping them up moments after. They were cute, a deep brown color that contrasted against Will's plush hips, the fabric pushing into the crease of his legs, tight against his ass, squeezing his thighs.
Will pulls on a shirt, something orange, blue, and striped. Mike, however, is a lot more focused on the pretty panties that Will’s covering up. A buttery yellow, a little bit of lace on the hem, something Mike only caught a glimpse of before it was gone.

The door is slightly ajar, letting in soft light in the dark hallway. When he steps close enough, he finally gets a glimpse inside. He finds Mike in what looks like a nursery of some sort. He has his back turned to the doorway, his black shaggy mullet curling raven locks behind his ears, his black T-shirt covering broad shoulders where the Alpha has significantly filled out over the years.
When he gently turns around, a baby is resting on his shoulder. Mike has a gentle hand against her back, the other forearm keeping the baby upright, keeping her steady and safe against his chest. He’s pacing slowly– back and forth, in circles, rocking her a little in his arms.
Will steps forward a little too soon.
Or,I give Mike Wheeler a baby. Will promptly loses his mind.
