They try to pin him down to get healed, but a hurt Radio Demon is acting on pure instinct and is high with fever. In the melee, Alastor bites Lucifer. Right on his Angelic Mating Gland, something he'd never even allowed Lilith to do. After healing the recalcitrant, daughter-stealing prick, Lucifer is forced by his own biology to undergo a change. To become the best physical mate for the Radio Demon. That doesn't mean Lucifer is just going to accept it. NOPE! It doesn't matter how cute and shy the devious deer man was being. Those fluffy ears and cute little tail should be classified as Weapons of Mass Destruction. He would not give in!... … … Well... Shit.

He's glad they keep him safe. Even if it involves giving up his scales and blood for them to use in their rituals, and having his wings bound behind his back day in, day out, to help him avoid suspicion. Even if he yearns to fly. Rev's made peace with never leaving this house.
Until his parents abruptly decide it's time to go to school, and ship him off to Kincaid Academy for Deviants and Exiles. What they were thinking, he had no idea.
Especially when it turns out one of the teachers is another dragon.
(Or, remember DSMP/OSMP/Hermitcraft hybrid fics? Yeah? Well, I'm bringing them back for Freak Show. At least, that was the intention. It got away from me a little)

The two hedgehogs turned to each other, raising a brow before turning back to Amy. Shadow just shrugged before returning to messy blue quills
“No?” Sonic said. A small grin sat on his face, “I mean there was this one time I-“
Shadow snorted, looking at his teammates' twitching eyes and awkward smiles. He finished the last knot and reached around, squeezing a glove-covered paw. The purr in Sonics chest only got louder

Summary
Even though Robin insisted that they were platonic with a capital P, Nancy didn’t buy it. Robin and Steve clearly cared about each other, had countless inside jokes and practically spent all their time together. If they weren’t dating then they definitely would be soon. She figured that Robin was downplaying things to not make things uncomfortable with her considering her history with Steve.
Which was nice of Robin to do but it left a bad taste in her mouth that they weren’t upfront about their relationship. She didn’t want them to have to hide for her sake.
Or: 5 times someone thinks Steve and Robin are dating + 1 time someone knows the truth.

Summary
There were no tearful hugs and kisses from doting parents watching their babies go to their first day of kindergarten, waving to them until they were out of sight. There was nobody who would miss him while he was at school.
He followed the other children to their classroom and listened to the teacher as she introduced herself. When they had free play he tried to talk to the other kids but he wasn’t sure how to talk to them. He didn’t have any friends his own age. His parents were hardly ever around and they always spoke like proper grownups. His Nanny was nice, but she wasn’t a kid either and she didn’t need to be his friend.
So Steve tried to just sit near the other kids. A few kids said hello but nobody really tried to make friends with him.
At least not until Eddie.
OR
Steve and Eddie meet as kids and grow up together. Because Eddie doesn't fit the part of someone who a Harrington would associate with, at least as far as Steve's parents are concerned, they have to keep their friendship secret. Starts from when they are kids until S4.

Something happens to Steve Harrington in October of 1984 in the junkyard while protecting those kids.
Something that he’s afraid of. That he doesn’t know how to control.
It starts with rows and rows of razor sharp teeth digging their way into his flesh, ripping and tearing their way through the layers of jeans and tall socks. A scream erupts from his throat at the hot burning sensation that trails its way up his leg. He’s trying to kick it with his other foot, but the demodog doesn’t even seem phased. Its flowered face never opens to release him, no matter how much force he uses behind his kicks. It uses its grip on Steve to start pulling him down the staircase of the bus, one by one, and Steve knows that if he lets himself get pulled all the way out, it’s over.
