He takes the brunt of the attack, barely staggering from the impact. Arsene counters, and when Ren tries to call him off, he doesn't stop. He leaps forward, so he and Loki are almost face to face.
And then, Loki grabs Arsene, holds him by the arms, and pins him down. He takes those sharp claws and digs them into Arsene's arms, before he uses those fearsome teeth to bite his neck.
