Izuku Midoriya was dead, and it turns out he did have a quirk that keeps him in this world as a ghost. Many things had happened since his death. The emergence of a new vigilante in Musutafu. Encounters with Eraser and his attempts to adopt a stray. Having a real friendship with a purple-haired outcast from society. Adopting a drug dealer and turning him into a minimally decent person who didn't want to burn the world. Causing aneurysms for Detective Tsukauchi and giving nightmares and traumas to a great number of people.
The truth was, many things had changed since Izuku had died. Now that his abandoned corpse had been discovered on Dagobah Beach, Izuku had been forced to disappear at the hands of his self-proclaimed adoptive brother, Dabi.
What Izuku was not aware of is that neither Aizawa nor Tsukauchi would give up on the kid. No, now that they had the slightest clue about what the hell was happening with Izuku Midoriya, they weren't going to let it slide. They would get to the bottom of the matter and bring their problem child back home with them.

“…What are you doing?”
“Hot-wiring it.” Izuku buries his hands up to the wrist inside the panel, following one of the wires deeper.
“Why do you know how to hot wire a scooter?”
“Do you want to get out of here in a reasonable time or not?” He snaps, wincing minutely. He doesn’t mean to be rude, but he’s tired and wants to be home early for once. And he has to remember how to hot wire a scooter from that one YouTube video he saw.
“Rude. Why are you even helping me?” Izuku breathes out harshly, leaning closer to the scooter.
“Why are you helping me?” He mocks, glaring at nothing as he continues trying to get the wires right- “Maybe it’s because I’m an empathetic person even when running on two hours of sleep, suicidal thoughts, and an oreo while being fully ready to fight god?” He grins widely as he feels something click in place and he retracts his hands, the scooter humming to life. “Now do you want to get out of here or not?”
There’s a moment where neither move, the people haired boy looking between him and the scooter before an equally shit eating grin spreads across his face.
