Summary
They walk up the main road, Stede chewing the inside of his lip. He doesn’t see any heads turn to follow them or anyone do a double take like they immediately recognize him or think they’re seeing a ghost, so that’s something, at least. Is it a good something? Stede doesn’t know.
“Stede,” Ed mutters in his ear, leaning closer as they walk. “Breathe.”
Stede releases a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding, then turns to smile gratefully at Ed. “Sorry,” he replies, sheepish. “I’m a little nervous.”

The Bonnet-Teaches are officially married! After a wonderful wedding-day celebrating their nuptials with their nearest and dearest, Stede and Ed have returned to the homestead and are winding down for the night, relishing the lovely, uncomplicated joys of simply being husband and husband.
