    Summary

    August, 1944-- European Theatre
112th Infantry Regimental Combat Team, AKA the “Bloody Bucket” Division

It is a little-known fact that, in war, there exist three sides: the attackers, the defenders, and the environment itself. Humans can be swayed by their emotions, but the Earth feels nothing for those waging war on her surface. The battlefield does not care who you are-- it swallows the faithful and the damned alike.

Dennis Whitaker still believes in saving people.
    Colonel Robby knows better.

Between the dying and the dead, prayers and exhaustion, and hands that refuse to stop reaching-- something fragile takes root.

But in a war that devours everything in its path, even hope can feel like a sin.

    or

Dennis Whitaker never intended to enlist, as a medic or as a soldier. Now that he's here, though, he's going to save as many lives as possible, or die trying.

    Summary

DN-15S was designed too be a farmhand. Instead, CyberLife slaps a medical upgrade on him and ships him off to Pittsburgh as part of their shiny new “Medical android initiative.”

After mere minutes of activation he’s stuck in The Pitt, trying to survive trauma bays, overworked doctors, and the general chaos of human medicine. Will he actuall be of use? What will happen when the android revolution erupts in Detroit, and everything he thought he understood about orders, obedience, and identity gets thrown into the blender?

How will a repurposed farm model fare in one of America’s busiest trauma centers?
And when the world starts burning, will our huckleberry stay loyal… or go deviant?

Or A Dennis android AU, where our favorite attending is begging to Gloria to Hire more nurses, instead the ED is getting some sort of sentient roomba.

Or Dennis is a Robot. (it has been brought to my attention that this work can be read without knowing anything about Detroit become human. Which is baffling to me, but according to my readers is the case, so try it see if ya like)

    Summary

“You’ve been giving me answers that any spokesperson could have formulated for you. Yet you subtly divert the conversation in a way that makes me think I’m not interviewing the Bruce Wayne the public gets." He thinks out loud. "You obtained a degree in law.” A good one at that, Clark suddenly remembered.
“I think it is best you left, Mr. Kent,” Wayne said formally, rising from his chair. He didn’t even wait for his butler to come rescue him with an excuse, which led Clark to believe he had hit a nerve.
“Why is a man like you leading a double life?”
    .
Was it truly a coincidence that Dick Grayson had stumbled into the man’s life, just months after Wayne Enterprises saw a surprising change of course that earned the man criticism from all sides? Were any of the children, scandals each and every one of them in their own right, chance of fate or correlation?
A skiing accident. Accident. Like the ‘accidental’ death and subsequent re-appearance of Jason Todd?

or: if you think about it, not knowing that Burce wayne is batman will lead you to different conclusion of why the wayne kids have so many injuries all the time. and ill be damned if i dont take that as a chance to write about clark kent.

    Summary

“So, Clark,” she says casually, leaning her hip against his desk. “How often do you use the X-ray vision at work instead of just pulling the portable machine?”

“Well, it saves a good fifteen minutes if Steve was the last one–” he starts distractedly, still clacking away at his keyboard. All at once, she sees the realization dawn on his face, going from horror to resignation in a matter of seconds.

    Gotcha.

    Summary

The first Mecha Man to grace L.A. was titled Mecha Man Prime, being the first in the legacy of non-powered humans to make a difference as a hero. The second Mecha Man named himself Astral and made his debut in L.A. as the leader of a group of heroes.

Robert was supposed to be the third Mecha Man. His father would have wanted that for him, but disappointing his father isn't new to him anyway.

In Robert's defense, he had a very valid crash out after his dad was murdered a decade ago. In his opinion, this leads to his very reasonable agenda of hunting down the man who murdered him. It sucks, because it's his target is beloved by the entire damn State.

L.A.'s third Mecha Man, Elliot Connors.

(OR: Robert Robertson is L.A.'s most wanted supervillain, hunting down the newly retired Mecha Man one dispatch call at a time.)
