Summary
A five-section essay exploring the entirety of the Narumitsu journey, compiling the reasons to ship them and the base of evidence supporting the idea that they could be confirmed as a canon couple someday.
I've done my best to cover more or less all the evidence pointing towards Narumitsu, from what we see in the games to what the anime added, to hidden hints in the expanded universe, out-of-universe events that support the ship and some meta/analysis thrown in for fun. Enjoy!
Done for Narumitsu Week 2020.

Summary
He was still asleep, chest shiny from sweat; his torso moved slowly like a half-dead frog. In the dawn light, he seemed monstrous. I dressed quickly and left before he could wake, before his eyes could probe into me and ransack my mind.
In which David does some much-needed self-reflection.

Summary
The light in the halo over my head was flickering, fading away, a weak shell of its former self. I could feel the heavy, molten drops of its liquid gold splendor begin to ooze down from the crown of my scalp, blinding me in viscous rapture, trickling over my lips—marking me.
By the time that mass had ended and I lifted my line of sight to the mezzanine, Aschenbach had fled back into the darkness, nowhere to be seen.
