    Series Summary:

Stories featuring the two brothers together are more likely to be found in the main series.

    Series Notes:

In my 'verse Maglor was married to a Telerin flute-player who stayed behind in Aman when he left for Middle-earth.

My take on wandering Maglor is that he was at first hurt physically quite badly as well, by the Silmaril (his throat, as well as his hand), but the physical hurts gradually healed over the millennia, although traces remain behind even beyond the Third Age.

Wandering Maglor, in my 'verse, remains haunted by having failed Elrond and Elros, as well as by his deeds and losses more generally. This feeling leads to a series of encounters in which he rescues people, especially children and adolescents, from various situations, ranging from simple loneliness to being in danger of their lives, up and down the coast, but usually does not stay with them very long, although he does try to leave them in a better or safer situation when he goes.

Read individually on their own, one or two of these encounters might read a bit like "white saviour" narratives, because I also have also used them to try to engage with OCs from different backgrounds and tactically draw the attention of readers to these by making them encounter a well-known character like Maglor. But at least as far as the intention of the author is concerned, Maglor simply ends up rescuing quite a lot of people, because the numbers add up over the ages. He mostly tends to avoid Eldar or anyone in close contact with them, because he prefers contexts in which he is not likely to be recognized.

There is no fixed plan for the series. I add to it as episodes occur to me. As of November 2019, I've just rearranged the stories in rough chronological order, rather than the order of writing.

A story that belongs here, but has not been uploaded to AO3 because it is co-authored with two others, is "Magloriana", linked from the end notes of "The Refusers".
