When people thought of Poseidon they thought of the sea; Poseidon, Lord of the Seas, Commander of the Waves, the Stormbringer. Upon consideration they would add Earthshaker, for catastrophic events such as earthquakes were hard to forget. Few remembered, however, that Poseidon was also Lord of the Horses. Stormbringer and Earthshaker tended to squeeze that one out.
Percy had been able to talk to horses for as long as he could remember. He liked to think he understood them. Although he's not entirely sure why the new stallion thinks he's its foal.
Poseidon is not jealous that Percy thinks a horse makes a better father figure than himself. At all.

Fuck. Whatever the mage had done, whatever that magic had been - Jaskier has lost his voice.
Or: Geralt and Jaskier reunite after the dragon hunt - but something is different. Their dynamic has changed, and it changes even more when Jaskier is cursed to lose his voice. Wallowing in guilt, thinking that it’s his fault, Geralt scrambles to find a cure.

The look on his face is stern but fond, an expression Steve hasn't seen since 1943, directed at one or more of his sisters when they thought the world was ending over baseball scores, or their homework, or a boy; Bucky hadn't ever let anyone get away with self-pity. That look would usually be followed up by C'mon, pipsqueak, let's go for a walk, but what Steve guesses Bucky's saying now is more along the lines of: You didn't let me down.

Cursed by their father/grandfather Chronos, the gods are rarely able to bring children into being. With the gods much reduced in number, and demi-gods inexistant, an unconscious, unaware Percy Jackson appears in this new world.
Heavily inspired by the many wonderful Fountain Percy / Athenide Percy AUs and the incredible 'no demi-gods' Aus that I have been obsessively devouring this last week. Basically I put the two AUs in a blender and this is what came out.
