Henry scoffed and held his hands up in mock surrender, “What are you gonna do, shoot me?”
“I’ve got half a mind to,” Alex started. Henry could hear the sound of him unclicking the holster.
“And the other half?” Henry tilted his head and leaned against the pillar, arms crossed over his broad chest.

The only thing that could possibly throw a wrench into all of this is a development in the years-long crush they've held on Green; star performer, vastly superior friend, and the only source of (good) spontaneity in their disastrous life....ah. They jinxed it.
