Summary
“Come on, Eddie,” Buck groans, “You may hide it well, but I know you don’t like Tommy.”
Eddie wants to open his mouth and start telling Buck he is wrong. Wants to explain that Buck has it all twisted. But, Buck doesn’t have it wrong. He has it exactly spot on.
Eddie envies Tommy. He has Buck. He has him and keeps letting him down.
All Eddie can think about in these moments is how much better Eddie could treat Buck. How Eddie could protect him better, love him better, appreciate him better. And in the dark of his room, blanketed in the cover of night: how much better he could pleasure Buck.
That last one was a recent addition to the list of things Eddie was sure he could do better than Tommy. It was one of the handful of things he kept locked in the deepest, darkest parts of his soul, only to emerge in the heat of the moment before being shoved back down in shame.
At Eddie’s silence, Buck lets out a frustrated sigh that snaps Eddie back into focus and the present situation.
5 times Tommy doesn’t show up for Buck so Eddie does instead, +1 time that Eddie made it clear to Buck that he wanted to be by his side for the rest of their lives.

Summary
“I’m a normal size.”
“No,” Buck says, insistent. “It’s— it’s thick, Eddie. Like— a real handful thick.”
Eddie ducks his head, swallowing hard. “I’m a— grower. By your definition. It gets bigger.”
Buck is still staring at him. Eddie does not look back. “Like an inch bigger?”
Grabbing his beer from the table, Eddie takes the last sip, hoping the chill of it will be some kind of cool balm over the flames within. It doesn’t help much. Quietly, he answers, “More.”
Buck gasps, loud and theatrical. “More?”
“Yes. Alright?” Eddie says tightly, his body flushes hotly. “More.”
A long second ticks by.
Abruptly and a little loudly, Buck asks, “Eddie, how big is your cock?”
Or: Buck finds out Eddie is hung. Seriously hung. This is mindblowing information to possess, apparently.

Summary
His eyes settle on Buck. There he is, on the sunny pavement just a few feet away. His face is warm. Smeared with dirt and blood. Eddie is thrown back to small red glasses around his best friends neck, all the air in his lungs suddenly snuffed out like a candle.
I'm sorry, Eddie, he keeps saying, as Eddie's vision starts to swim. But it's not dark here, Buck's neck is red with blood instead, the pavement is warm and Eddie's mind screams with the memory of a yellow blouse in plastic.
“I'm sorry,” Buck rasps, in a twisted echo of the past.

Summary
Buck blinked, “Thank you, Captain Obvious, I know that. I was dog sitting for a friend.”
“What friend?”
“Why does that matter?” Buck blinked at Eddie, who stared at him intently, head tipped.
“Because we don’t have a friend who owns a dog.”
“You don’t know all my friends?”
“Yes the fuck I do. We’ve been weirdly attached for years now and suddenly you’re telling me I don’t know all your friends? Lies. Fallacy and lies. Whose dog? Is this your mistress?”
Buck scoffed, “Eddie, I’m single, I don’t have a mistress.”
